If you enjoy it, I'd appreciate it being spread around. If you have any questions about how any of it was accomplished, I would be happy to provide in-depth responses and some tips on using the toolset.

I just finished creating this video. It took quite a bit of work with the toolset. Link.

They made like $50,000.000.00 dollars but they can't have one guy answering toolset questions an hour or two per day.

Too bad bioware doesn't support the toolset.

Oh come on, let's not exaggerate. I've seen people like Craig Graff answering questions on the weekend! There are others such as Bryan Derksen & David Sims as well, that have been very helpful. Would it be nice to have more support? Hell yeah! But not every question will be answered the moment we want it.
EDIT - If you do have questions, compile the list and separate it into categories, and send it off to one of the Bio devs, and ask if we can get official answers. We did this a while back with regards to cutscenes, and the Bio dev passed it off to a cutscene designer, who answered most of the questions.

Thanks! I was actually very impressed with the toolset when making that shot. It was quite easy to blend together the running animation and the slap animation. It looks a little weird from other angles, but it works well enough.
Ooh, I have a question. Did you just blend the animations within the cutscene editor itself, or did you use the Animation Editor?

My response to that would have to be: There's an animation editor? How do I open that exactly?
My use of the toolset has been quite narrow; it felt easier to really get to know small parts of it first and branch out from there as I need it, so while I'm quite comfortable with the cutscene/creature/facefx/etc. editors some parts of the toolset remain an arcane mystery to me.

Ah, I see. For the record, it's called the Animation blend tree editor. I messed around with it a little bit during the toolset BETA, but as we didn't have a client at the time, I moved on to something else. Since the release of the game, I haven't even touched it.
Well, if you ever do branch out and start using it, let us know!
I really gotta say, I haven't laughed that hard in a while. The "Running Slap" (as it will be called from now on) needs to be put on the Dragon Age front page for sure. To be fair, you may have to remove that "please enter credit card number" bit from the video. It may offend someone at Bioware
