Yeah, but what will be the point of these forums once it happens?

For the past year people have been basically posting their complaints and feedback hoping that Bioware would take some of that feedback into consideration and improve ME3 with DLC. But lets say this last DLC comes, and it really doesn't address any feedback. And they don't plan on making anymore DLC for Mass Effect 3.
What will we do in these forums then?
Play chess and drink whiskey.

And God help them if it's a Prequel.
Until then, I think things aren't going to change, unfortunately.

Well, the anwser to that question lies ahead, we can't say for sure what will happen here on the forums, i think it will go back to normal, then people are making posts about other things, like expectations for ME 4 and so on.

But you gotta remember, there are things to talk about other than the endings and what is wrong with ME3. Its just that many are more interested in hating on the game and BW than talking about more interesting things. Maybe that too will change after this DLC releases.

I honestly doubt the toxicity of this site is going to lessen until a whole new game comes out and Bioware shows they can take their past mistakes and do better with them.

To be completely honest, as much as I would love a "sequel", I would be fine with a new set of games starting in the middle of the original ME trilogy, and then maybe it spans off a little after the crucible events at the end of ME3. But only if the story and it's characters are done right.

See, the problem I have with a sequel, or even worse, a midquel, is two fold.
First, all roads lead to the same ending anyway, and if that ending is still a downer, well... a lot of people just don't have the will to do it. Hell, I have thirty save games from ME1 and like, forty for ME2. And since ME3 came out, I haven't had the heart to replay the series from the start, and I know there are others who feel the same. It's hard going back and enjoying the good times when all roads lead to what is generally seen as a downer ending. That's not the case for everyone, but it is for some, and for me personally.
Second, anything a protagonist might be able to do is held hostage to what Shepard may be doing at any given moment, or will do in the future. Not to mention there is going to be mad retconning involved if they go back. Just look at thermal clips. You know if they do a game during the First Contact War, the guns are going to use clips. Now that's not a big deal, not for me, anyway, but for some it is, and it's indicative of a larger problem. Because you know it's not going to stop there. They're going to be foreshadowing stuff that's already happened, especially the Catalyst and Synthesis and crap, and honestly, Leviathan was more retroactive foreshadow than I could stomach. I don't want an entire game that's going to be throwing nods at characters and events I've already experienced, nor do I trust the writers to keep things straight. Deception sure as hell doesn't give me much hope in that regard, nor do most of the comics that have come out.

This.
Hey, I'm all for honest and fair critique. I think the endings are complete garbage, but I think people need to be able to express their feelings in a manner that isn't just "I HATE BIOWARE CASEY AND MAC ARE THE DEVIL RABIES RABIES RABIES!"
As Gaider said, the atmosphere is too toxic. It's not that people are telling them they're unhappy, it's how they're doing it. I really hope that changes, but it's going on a year and it doesn't seem to be lessening, so... ugh.

Civil wars are awesome.... Factions in free for all.... winner faction will be dismissed and then removed to the group sections.
As for the OP, Dunno... perhaps I'll stalk for a moment and then move on.
