Wait until Mass Effect 4 probably. Will probably lurk more than post, as I did before.

This.

Hey, I'm all for honest and fair critique. I think the endings are complete garbage, but I think people need to be able to express their feelings in a manner that isn't just "I HATE BIOWARE CASEY AND MAC ARE THE DEVIL RABIES RABIES RABIES!"

As Gaider said, the atmosphere is too toxic. It's not that people are telling them they're unhappy, it's how they're doing it. I really hope that changes, but it's going on a year and it doesn't seem to be lessening, so... ugh.

They brought this on themselves through a perfect storm of errors, rushing the game out, and hubris. If it's toxic, it's because Bioware didn't do enough to diffuse the poison. Their lame attempts at retconning the ending have just made things worse.

...I am also prepared for the worst, and if that happens. I will simply explain to BioWare that I'm disappointed in them, I don't like the direction they've taken this franchise, and I've felt betrayed by the emotional investment I put into this series and these characters.

And then, I will leave. For good. And I will never buy DA3 nor any other BioWare product. Because even though DA3 might be the best game ever... Sometimes you have to take a stand.

I had similar feelings to yours before the Extended Cut came out. Even after deciding the EC had enough closure for me to move on, I still didn't see much point in playing any new DLC and I got angry when I initially heard about ME4.

But recently, after months of mostly not thinking about BioWare games or ME3... I started to miss the gameplay style and the Mass Effect universe. Folks here gave the Leviathan DLC a great review almost across the board, so I purchased that and really enjoyed it. Now I'm cautiously optimistic for DA3 and even ME4 despite whatever happens with the last ME3 DLC.

What I'm trying to say (and failing due to rambling) is you might feel differently some day. And hey, there's nothing wrong with waiting until after a game is released and getting feedback from folks whose opinions you trust before playing it. Just food for thought. :)

Hopefully everyone who derails threads into the ending will leave, so we can actually talk about different stuff.

Mercilessly mock the Puzzle Theory advocates who expect a Conventional Ending reversal.

You realize how dumb this makes you sound, yes?

It has been a pretty stupid, albeit persistent, idea, yes. So I suppose the mockery is redundant at this point.

It could be seen as cutting off my nose to spite my face. But as long as I see BioWare's logo on any product, I wont feel comfortable letting myself be immersed in their games.

I would say I am eagerly looking forward to the DLC like never before, but somehow I doubt you'll actually have the conviction to do something like this. Which is a shame, since you honestly got my hopes up.

No, you'll probably linger and continue the old patterns, emerging from time to time to re-criticize anything associated with Bioware or anyone who's views differ from your own. When asked why you're still around you'll wave off all previous comments like this, and pretend you never said such a thing. You might go to ground for a few days, or just claim you're continuing to calmly explain, but hours will turn into days into weeks into months and you'll be around.

Sit around and curmudgeonly complain like usual; isn't that the universal answer?

Actually thats a very good question...

I mean what do people want to talk about anymore? Everything that happens in this game, everything the characters said, every choice you made and all the plot points in this game have already been analysed to death, to find anything that gives some sense to the ending.

I'll keep doing what I've been doing, seeing as I'm not here because of DLC expectations at all (I didn't even buy Omega).

Seems like we've achieved consensus (in some form or another)...(hardly) No one is leaving, and we're just going to do what we always do, because we enjoy it. Obviously no one is forcing us to leave....

Leave? It's the only sensible thing to do. They didn't listen, and it's like banging your head on a brick wall right? Then leave. Throw your arms up in the air, and just give up. That's worse then complaining.

Exactly I hope the majority leaves because maybe that will wake Mass Effect's devs and writers up.

Sadly, I'll never leave this place. I'm too ingrained in one of the groups here, and I have friends I just honestly couldn't do without.

But I'd like the forums themselves to be a place I can look forward to coming to for the latest bit of info on the next game that I'm eagerly awaiting with baited breath, that I set money aside a year in advance so I can pre-order the day it becomes available. Yes, I actually did that.

I don't want to to continue being a place where people gripe and moan or where I dread looking up the latest piece of news for fear things have somehow gotten worse or I am continually disappointed.

Ah, a fellow whiskey lover! Good, very good! I lived in Ireland for one and half years, so I got "addicted" to it, but my mostest favouritestest beverage is beer... oh, man there's nothing better than a good pint of British ale, Irish stout or Czech pilsner... or a good Belgian! hhmmm... my friend from Portland introduced me some great local beers when he visited me during last summer: they were cool too, but even in Hungary (which is a wine producing country) we have some very nice brews... but the best thing is he combination of whiskey and some good stout (pure win)!

Oh, and not an alcoholic either...
