Ok, this is getting ridiculous. First team to a sub-7 gets the glory. Once we get it, I'm done speedrunning outside of tournaments.

New FB London Record.  Objective waves were all Targets

Image IPB

Unfortunately, none of us can record, but we used almost the same strategy as the previous record-holders.  We just changed the rotations a bit.

Yeah, I honestly want to hang up 4 man rocket runs after this. Solo/Duo speedruns all day err day.

Now that there are a couple perfect rocket strategies out in the open it all comes down to luck with the objectives, really not that interesting.

I cant belive we got this in our first try and that the RNG gave us those perfect objectives. Now only if we could get them on Jade

I really enjoyed the competition more when it was about being creative and coming up with the best plan. I suppose it was inevitable after the tutorials went public. Now that everyone has the perfect strategy the only difference is RNG objectives and hardware differences.

Geek we can still develop new strategies. My team is currently working on Ghost and while nothing will probably be faster than Jade or Goddess it is different and exciting still. And you never know we might find another Jade, Glacier or Goddess.

There was always only one way to do things, it just took a while for people to realize that.
Not something I ever had an interest in. This game does not encourage variety or unique strategy in the slightlest, unorthodox setups are always more prone to variety and fun imo than routine based strategies in a game that lacks real difficulty.

The only fun thing I can see from speedruns is the heightened team communication required to do every single thing right but even then you are crossing your fingers on rng.

Geekfest, is the 14:10 the best duo time on Xbox Glacier or is it 10:53 without an updated pic?

It can't be 14:10 can it? Because a long time ago HardcoreSalmon and I decided to try a "speedrun" on Glacier and got 14:15 on our first try. I estimated that we could do it about 3-4 minutes faster if we kept doing it and got better at it, but then I stopped playing all together shortly after that.

A duo of 10 minutes is possible on Xbox Glacier, so it would seem weird if it was only 14:10

I agree, myself and Naviheylisten got a 14.40 without even trying on our first attempt before Armoured Compartments... And that was when I wouldn't have considered myself that great of a player.

14:10 is the fastest recorded that I know of. I'm not really aware of any other attempts.

So... me and Navi must have unknowingly held the Duo Gold Record until dumdum unknowingly broke it at some poinnt in the spacetime continuum... cool...

Depends on how long ago it was. Bechter and I took one attempt at Glacier(14:11, no armored compartments) and then one at Goddess(15:12) several months ago but then never did any more duos. I haven't been very good at updating the list, I'm usually better when someone PMs to remind me. Now that they raised the missile count and someone may actually give it a few tries I doubt it lasts long.

There are still a ton of maps that don't have duo or trio times. Would like to see more people attempt those.

I did some checking, mine and navi's was done about 10 months ago (inspired by Shadrach and Invader's plat duos). Dumdum's was uploaded 4 months (by the way man, I may have finally found another DS Gamer to watch) and yors was  done, god knows when. Either way there's definate room for improvement, me and navi both just went "14.40 on our first try, we could beat that..." and let it die assuming it wasn't anything to write about. We never got round to trying out more between dark souls, left 4 dead, squad records and the tournaments we got sidetracked.

Yeah me, heroic and Tatty were going to but never really got into and now every build is a stupid build and i doubt any of us  could.

Slim was interested in the glacier time earlier we gave it a run or two getting 17. mins on duos and a 12 minute trio /w Crusader with 2x Four Devices might be able to peak his interest for some of the incomplete maps at some point.

I see you added the fastest of caineghis' livestream sniping runs for no missile runs on Jade. It made me wonder if I wanted to point out the following, I'll do it anyway because I find it funny in a way.

I know my screenshots' quality are fkn terrible, but you may want to have a look at the Spectre Challenge Thread #3 where people did gimped biotic/tech squad runs. PS3 has a screenshot of a 16:13 biotic run.

I added your solo earlier as people are taking more of an interest in that. I'll go back and look at that challenge thread. I'm pretty good about updating the list when people pm me, not so great if they don't.

Edit: I took a look at that thread and updated the list.
