On the "other" Saber thread, Jack Crapper wrote that if you love head shots, you love the Saber, if not, then the Saber is meh (I am putting his thoughts into my own words, so not quoting directly). I think what he said is very true.

The rate of fire of a Saber, means that someone aiming center mass will be disappointed in the outcome. Folks who go for head shots (and are good at getting them, another Jack Crapper point), will be very happy.

So the bottom line is the Saber is not for everyone. It doesn't stink, it isn't OP, it is an awesome weapon for those who have the skills that mesh with it's strengths, kind of meh for those who don't match up so well.

No mod is going to change that.
