I am really upset right now I am in the fade and have completed every portion of it. I am about to fight the sloth demon and when i try to enter the inner sanctum it freezes. I just get a nonstop loading screen. I have retraced my steps with my savegames trying to rescue my companions in difrent order but nothing seems to work. this is a terible place to have a glitch since I cant leave. I was enjoying the fade until now. My companions are alistar wynne and the crow guy.
Please any help would be great.

I'll assume this is for the PC version and move the thread there. If it's not, please post in the appropriate forum.

Unfortunately, I'm not tech support nor do I work for BioWare so I can't provide you any specific advice. You've tried one of the things I would have suggested (going back to older saves). I would also log out if you are connected to the Bio servers.
Have you contacted EA's official support?

How far back did you go. That is, did you go back to before you entered the Fade?
Also, do you have Vista or 7? Or maybe a quad core? I ask because of the memory leak problem I've read about.

I have just gone back and played through the entire fade again and still it freezes on the loading screen. I have Win 7 a Q9650 quad core. I dont know what to do its really upsetting because I feel no need to continue the game from a save point outside of the fade knowing that i cannot complete the game. I have never in all my years gaming seen a bug like this. If someone knows a fix to this please list it here I wont play through the fade again unless i know there is a fix.

Please take into account I'm not a tech person. But I've been getting the long loading screens and sometimes (rarely) the game crashes in one of them. So, I'd read about the memory leak thing (don't understand it) and that it seems to be a particular problem with Windows Vista and 7 - and with quad cores.
I have an AMD quad core. I found something that says it may fix that issue. I haven't tested it yet - got it this afternoon. I've downloaded and implemented it. Gonna go test it soon. So, here's a link to the page I found it on:

As I said, not a tech person. I don't know if this has anything to do with your problem or not. But I thought maybe you could look, and if it seemed possible, give it a try.
Good luck.
Edit: oh, and do send an email to tech support about the problem. This is just a page for users to exchange help, explain solutions. That's not to say you won't find one here. But you should alert Bioware in any case.

Thanks for the help i do appreciate it. I am afraid to do that though because it is an AMD workaround.

I tried going into the inner sanctum without freeing my mates but it still froze so its either always going to freeze or there is something happening before I rescue them that as causing the game to take a Sh*t.

Do you have any Mods installed or have you used a trainer? I had a situation recently that caused my game to crash at a specific spot constantly. I ended up going back to an earlier save and played through again with no problem.
I also have the same processor as you and play that game through fine, so your CPU is not causing the problem.

No I am playing the vanilla game no mods no trainer. And yeah I have gone back to earlier saves and tried to play through the fade completely again but it freezes no matter what i do.

I actually have this problem too, kinda.
Whenever I talk to the sloth demon he says "Ah, you have returned". Then, whenever I answer him, my companions never show up. Someone please help.
