Good stuff in ME3(please try not to hate)

I like how they improved the combat, once you get into it's a bit shallow but the combat roll and enhanced cover mechanics make it good to great at times. A lot of people say that it's turned into a Gears clone, and I can see where people get that from but in my opnion they are two different experiences.
I like Edi's quest for knowledge and true self awareness, I will say I'm not sure I agree with her grabbing Evas body but it is what it is, and the dialouge we got from her in the game to me, was very cool.
The missions on Rannoch, Tuchkana and Surkesh were in my opinion pretty solid, the combat sections of those missions actually work(make sense) and their conclusions are great. Plus it was great to help out my old pal Wrex and to see his people have some hope.
And to wrap it up, one of my most memorable experinces was getting to meet and hang with Javik, his apperance was a bit dissapointing but yet again it is what it is and we gotta take what we can get. Having him there on Thessia was really cool, and learning that the Asari were possibly uplifted by the Protheans sheds some interesting light into the history of the Asari.
Okay more thing, I'm a Liara guy and I just loved how the romance played out, I could always feel the love and sinceirty from Dr.Tsoni in most conversations.
So there that is, have it it guys and gals, I'm pretty sure this topic has been done before, but I wanted to hear some fresh opinions.

Liked tutchanka and rannoch though. SPECIALLY tuchanka. Rannoch has some minor flaws, as the other guys said.. the cons FAR outweigh the pro's. ='/

Jack - her character progression, the Grissom Academy mission and all her dialogue there. A great example of BioWare firing on all cylinders.
Tuchanka: enough has been said about this
Rannoch: same here
Garrus' 'date' on the Citadel: a wonderfully touching and sweet character moment
The Ardat Yakshi monastery: good, atmospheric mission and it was good to see Samara again.
Thessia: No, I don't like the Kai Leng fight at the end of this mission so much, but the rest of it is fantastic. The epitome of a warzone, it was wrenching to see the brutal and unforgiving Reaper destruction first-hand. Also LOVE how disillusioned Liara is after this mission. One of ME3's most underrated moments.

The combat- best in the series.
The Rannoch mission and getting the geth and quarian to play nice
everything Garrus
everything liara
Tuchanka missions
Leviathan
It was the best looking ME game
The emotional impact of the game. I cried numerous times. Yes, I can admit it. lol.
All the cool guns- lots more than in ME2
How awesome the infiltrator class could become. Infiltrators FTW
Probably lots more but that's what I loved.

I liked pretty much everything except the plot holes, the endings, the N7 missions, and the mandatory fetch quests on the Citadel.
I'd throw in the god awful walking/running animations, but yeah that captures the gist of it.

Ugh... yeah, the animators must have taken a few vacactions during ME3's development.JPN17 wrote...

The good bits have already been covered, it's a pity really because at its best moments ME3 was excellent. Tuchanka is the fairly standard high point for me. It was also really nice to see your squad talking to each other.
squad banter in ME3 was super awesome, adds a bit o replay value if you switch up your party some.

Ya i noticed during my first playthrough that everyone walks away from you like they're upset or in a rush. I remeber early in the game, when you meet Traynor, Liara walks out with that animation and i originally thought she did that because i romanced her and she was saying "keep it in your pants" but turns out everyone always walks away like that.

I'll add the Jersey shoreification of the squad, much smaller squad size and Chobot to that. And the short shrift given to the ME2 squaddies. And expensive DLC.
I liked the return of Barla Von and Liara's dad was awesome, though. Some of the storylines were excellent, such as Tuchanka, Grissom and Rannoch.

Over all, still a good game if you combine all 3 together and play it all the way is weeks of game time there.

Weapon modding/combat. I think they did the best with this out of any game in the series.
Tuchanka.
Rannoch. How they handled the geth was a little off, I thought, but on the whole it was an excellent part of the game.
Conrad Verner, and the little side mission surrounding him. His dialouge was priceless. I don't know who wrote him, but they should get a raise.
Did I mention Tuchanka?

First off, congrats on your first BSN post! Welcome to the fray.LaBaron2020 wrote...
Hey all. This is my first post here on BSN, I've been a member here for a good while now and i've been reading the posts and comments ever since ME3 launched. I noticed that a lot of time is spent on the negative aspects of ME3 and I thought it be neat to spend some time chatting about some of the things we otherwise enjoyed from the game.
There were a lot of things I enjoyed about ME3. For example, I liked that the crew does their own thing on the ship and the Citadel. It seemed more realistic than having them always standing around in the same place waiting for Shepard to engage them in conversation, like in the previous games.
The atmosphere is pretty top notch too. From the wind whipping across the Mars base to the eerie whispering of deceased friends haunting Shepard's nightmares, I have to say there were very few occasions where I wasn't totally immersed in the story.
And while some story arcs did not end how I personally would have wished, others wrapped up rather brilliantly, like the genophage and the geth/quarians.
