The smaller squad size. Having started replaying ME2; there were so many squadmates and so little missions where they could voice their opinions. So at first; it seemed a little shorthand to just have 3 to start with but it tightened the reigns for the squad dialogue this time around.

Kirrahe. The first guy we meet who says "You have my support regardless...". The first ally who doesn't want anything in return.

Mordin Solus and Padok Wiks. Both good choices, Mordin for the seashells and Wiks for being a perve (look on Youtube for his dialogue and -that- face).

Tuchanka and the (true) genophage cure. A moment I'd been waiting to help come true since ME1 and that standoff on Virmire. And I got to be there. The look of hope on Wrex's face and giving the Krogan a chance to live free again.

Rannoch: finally making peace between the Geth and Quarians putting a 300-year conflict against the Geth to rest. Giving Tali a rock and then 'staking the claim' in the aftermath.

I imagine the Ken and Gaby dialogue was also good but I relation'd Liara so it was bugged on my two playthroughs. I've yet to get another one through on a post-fix. They were pretty fun to have on ME2 though.

If I were to list what I liked about ME3, I'd end up listing pretty much everything. It's easier to list what I don't like, and no, I'm not really complaining, just saying I like everything not listed here:

-Cutscenes constantly using default weapons (ME2 did this as well)
-Miri and Jack's romances should have been more fleshed out
-The mission journal sucks
-Not being able to get mad at the Dalatrass

I really can't think of anything else at all.

I genuinely really like ME3's multi-player, and it's the only thing that keeps the game installed for me, since I play it regularly. But even though I like it... I know I shouldn't, for I believe that Mass Effect was and should have remained a story-driven single-player game. Yeah two different teams, yada yada, whatever.

Anyway yeah I like the multi-player the most out of ME3 (I mean the whole thing). If I have to restrict myself to liking "stuff" from the campaign then I'd go with Tuchanka, Rannoch and the changes made to Jack which I liked. I also liked the Liara time capsule scene, kinda touching stuff and hmmm... what else... not much really. Well I guess I liked Javik and what they have done with the back-story for the Protheans (ending up being completely militaristic rather than being supposedly all benevolent as Liara thought they might have been back in ME1).

And... well that's about it really, although none of what I liked is anything "mind blowing", it's alright though, genuinely enjoyed those parts of the game, yeah.

Nice! You mentioned a few things I forgot about. It was awesome getting Kirrahe's support early on, a great reminder of what went down in the first mass effect. I loved having Mordin back on the Normandy even if it was only for a little bit, it was nice to hear him sorta sing again.

The Citadel was really fantastic.
Normandy felt like a war ship again.
Lot's of good stuff on audio department.
Combat was good, bit too much Cerberus and too few Harvesters though.

Conrad Verner, and the little side mission surrounding him. His dialouge was priceless. I don't know who wrote him, but they should get a raise.

So much this! Conrad is frikkin awesome in every ME game and 3 really delivered on the Conrad quota.

Combat was great (I don't play any other TPS games so I can only compare to ME1 and 2). Playing vanguard is stupidly satisfying. With their variety and moddability, gunplay is just really good in ME3.

I thought the levelling system was excellent in ME3 - I great blend of simplicity and versatility, catering to a range of alternative builds.

Some great squadmate dialogue too...

Think I found Ranoch the most fulfilling story line. It tugged at the heart strings more. With the exception of everything the starbrat is involved in, Mass Effect 3 is still enjoyable. It is the only game (franchise) I can think of that I am still regularly playing a year after release.

I still have yet to see Conrad in Mass Effect 3.

He creeped me out so badly in 1. to the point where aside from my canon I avoided him in all my playthroughs. But in 2 I was like "Awwww, he just wants to help." Totally changed my perspective.

I don't get why so many people like the Rannoch arc. I thought it was way too short and the final part was boring and lame. Thought it might be cool when the Reaper showed up but nope, it was a game of dodge the beam. Though I did love shooting Legion three times and then allowing the Quarians to blow all his buddies to hell.

I liked most of the tweaked combat (Didn't like the new shockwave and slam) and liked the new heavy melee.

I was worried with a new composer that the soundtrack would not match the other two games but they kept it. It was nice to hear old ME1 tracks (like the Citadel music) again.

Tuchanka was absolutely wonderful. I loved Eve so much and seeing Mordin redeem himself.

The Coup made no sense but I liked shooting Udina.

Liked shooting TIM, been wanting to do that for years.

Liked having Kaidan and Liara back and of course Garrus and Tali returning. Seeing the old squad even though you saw a lot of them was only for a few minutes was nice.

Liked having far more weapons than in ME2 and liked having mods again.

Liara, the music, squad banter, good side missions (asari monastery, Grissom academy), customization options, MP, the goodbye scenes in London, shooting Udina, both story DLC were rather enjoyable

Aww, how could you do that to Legion? I do agree that parts of Rannoch could have been done better, but for me I think I enjoy it so much because I was able to help Tali reclaim her homeworld.

Sadly, the multiplayer is probably the best part. I never thought I would say that, because I'm not a MP guy at all. It's hard to look back and see anything good about the game when you know it's all going to end in the most disgusting and horrifying way possible.

I liked being able to shoot Ashley.

I liked Jacks new chop.

I liked Jacks old chop.

I liked the reaper horn.

The list could go on for ages, its just unfortunate that the smaller amount of stuff i dislike holds the greatest significance with regards to the overall plot. Most of the good stuff is overshadowed.

As much as I like the Mass Effect series, I cannot forgive the poor exposition given to Miranda's romance. This is the woman who saved Shepard from death and she barely gets anything in terms of a romance? Although, I suppose Miri does have a role in the main plot.

Still kind of wish you could have a Citadel date with Samantha like you can with every other LI (not counting Diana).

The plot holes are also difficult for me to get around, or how every choice we made throughout the series was given a simple number value and really nothing more (ie. the Rachni)

Tuchanka and Rannoch were done really well though, although Tali's rock disappears into the void as Shepard is giving it to her. Rannoch was still good, though I like Tuchanka better, brofisting Wrex was AWESOME.

They ruined Liara so hard. Man she's annoying in ME3. GODDESS! Otherwise I agree with most of what you said OP.
