Better in what respects? The Claymore fires almost as fast as the Wraith when reload cancelled, has a better damage but is also a lot heavier. For this reason alone I couldn't imagine using a Claymore on my Paladin or Asari vanguard if I intended to use my powers frequently.
The trouble with the Wraith is that we don't have the possiblity of making it better via reload cancel as we do with the Claymore - but maybe it would be overpowered, especially considering its weight, if it had a faster rate of fire and a slower (and manipulable) reload.

But it's not all there. What this topic is also about is the claymore being much more than a weapon. It's also a dream, a state of mind, an expression of personality and a promise of happiness.
You can't talk about the Claymore without mentioning the discourses about the Claymore. Brutal, badass, manly, raping faces, the whole lexicon of the blustering speech can be used to describe this unique weapon. (Countercheck: there's another cathegory of weapons that have exactly the opposite qualities, such as the Acolyte. Just carrying one of them is a sign of disgrace: as one of the most present bsn member, and grand intellectuel on youtube, said to me in this immortal words: "the Acolyte is a woman's weapon".).
Weapons mysticism. Nugae, the Latin would say. In italian we have another adage that fits well. It sounds like this: harmless things for stupid children.

The only thing i dislike about the wraith X is the fact that my nova guard cant carry it with a 200% cooldown.
Both guns have their niche in my builds, i like the claymore a bit more though.

You can reload-cancel the Wraith, or any weapon for that matter:  the benefit's are smaller but they're still there.

some months ago another pc player said it very well about the wraith and i have to agree with him.
he said that the rate of fire is not proportional with the reload.

Anyone can run the 100m sprint in 9.5 seconds. Usain Bolt ain't nothin' special. It's easy. You just put one foot in front of the other, and repeat.

I tried that in a Flash game once and it went horribly, completely mangled myself. Thankfully it was a simulation.
