Per level, the Wraith is a better gun on paper, but sometimes on paper ability is overrated, especially when factoring in the OSOK ability of the Claymore. The low weight of the wraith makes it one of the most versatile weapons for every class. I, however, would not call anyone an idiot if the preferred the Claymore on weapons platforms.

I'm not saying the Raider is bad but...Wraith has better accuracy and can fire from greater distances.

That's true but the raider destroys everything at close range (best weapon for vanguards hands down).

So does the Wraith. Both are great for vanguards. I don't use the Piranha much either because it just doesn't have range.

Puts a Wraith on the Shadow/ Slayer and still gets a 180% cooldown benefit. Puts Claymore on the same class, not going to happen.

Wraith for cooldown dependent. When needed, Claymore for everything else.

I regularly roll volus vanguard with claymore. He's pretty cooldown dependent. I can also outscore TGI + harrier people using my claymore vol-guard....

If you know what you're doing, the 1.5 second longer cooldown is not really an issue on casters. Claymore fury works marvellously.

Due to zombie games I don't trust single shot weapons anymore and only prefer ones that allow me to do a quick double-tap. (i.e. the raider)

If I could only have one, though, it would most certainly be the Claymore. The Wraith may be "better" overall due it's usefulness on a greater number of kits, but the Claymore is...the Claymore.

 Wraith is one of the few UR guns I have leveled to 7 and I love this gun. Great range, light weight, 2 rounds. If widow is to black widow, then Claymore is to Wraith.

Nope, that's just a troll that should be ignored.

The Claymore used to be my favorite shotgun, but then I leveled my Wraith up and it's probably my favorite gun in the game now (rivaled only by the PPR and Talon). It's the really low weight to damage output that allows me to carry it on pretty much every single character without tanking cooldowns that won me over.

I'll admit that the Claymore is more satisfying to use, and on a kit that I don't have to worry about weight, I'll take the Claymore every time.

Unlike all of you who apparently have decided that having the best of both worlds is too much of a hassle, I'll enjoy both my Wraith and my Claymore equally.

I would use a Reegar vanguard over a Raider vanguard but that's just me I guess.

The Raider is certainly growing on me. I don't think I love it more than the Claymore and Wraith, but it is certainly singing its siren song to me as I use it to further my Street Sweeper Challenge...
