i would have to agree. 

Its a unique gun. Very high damage short to even medium range and what makes it even more special is its light weight.

i do love the geth plasma shotgun on my GI too. Another great gun. 

The shotgun class has the best selection of any others in the game.

I'm not going to disparage your use of the Eviscerator but the Wraith I has more dps, burst damage, clip damage, and is 5% lighter than the evisicerator X.  --> http://narida.pytalh...ator1AA1AA1////

The Raider is certainly growing on me. I don't think I love it more than the Claymore and Wraith, but it is certainly singing its siren song to me as I use it to further my Street Sweeper Challenge...

I dislike the Raider's elliptical spread.

Anyway, the Claymore is a boss wrecker, and the Wraith is great for everything below that.  The Claymore ends up being overkill on many things you will find on Gold or below (though it is still amazingly effective on Gold).

Everything has its place, and this discussion is rather silly.

The Wraith I still does more damage, but it's 50% heavier than the Eviscerator X.

You're looking at Eviscerator I vs Wraith I.

Unlike all of you who apparently have decided that having the best of both worlds is too much of a hassle, I'll enjoy both my Wraith and my Claymore equally. 

not enough amps. between the raider, claymore and reegar I often forget about my wraith

i think it's close. Is kinda silly to say its that much space between them. Your underestimating the Wraith. It's light weight sets it apart from others in its class.

also keep in mind that the raider is less effective at longer ranges. 

but I do like the raider. It's better than the piranha in my opinion.

This is a retarded comparision imo because classes that can use a weapon in the 2.0 weight range like the Claymore would have no use for a weaker, lightweight gun like the Wraith, and classes that need not butcher their cooldowns have no use for the Claymore... If you want to play a class like a Soldier with heavy weapons, use a Soldier. They get more weapon damage bonuses.

The guns appeal to different characters for the most part.

Sorry, they're not even close. The raider can get off a crap ton of shots in no time while the wraith's terrible RoF and reload hold it back. Not to mention that range isn't an issue for vanguards.

claymore, wraith, raider... they're all awesome shotguns that pack a lot of punch. The weight, reload and ROF only adds them flavor. Claymore and raider with reload cancel are beastly. Wrath is a weapon u can't go wrong using on any class due to its versatility.

Arguing which is better is pointless. For a guy who prefers weapon based classes claymore might seem like a godsent. For a guy who likes a high power weapon and wants to play an aggressive caster, wraith is a perfect choice. It's all about playstyle.

If u slap claymore on every class and play it like soldier... well that's ur choice, no one says u can't.

Having a shotgun that has range is important against classes with sync kill ability, also whenever you are in hack circles whether your a vanguard or not.. Again thats just a preference of mine but saying that raider blows the wraith away is goofy.. There really is no right or wrong answer here but the wraith should be considered "ONE" of the best in its class.

I wouldn't drop the R word on the comparison, but I do agree that the shotguns in general are balanced in ways that different ones are better on different classes due to different cooldowns and passives.

Not true. One shotting Ravagers is extremely useful. One shotting Brutes is even better (only possible on Drell/Batarian Adept AFAIK).

The best Claymore users aren't soldiers actually  Even the Human Soldier is probably like, the 6th best or something.

Regardless of the guns appealing to different classes I'm asking BSNites which weapon they prefer over all. If you think its so retarded Ashen then why waste your time?

Wraith, any class I would use the claymore with I replace with either the harrier or raider.
