Am i the only one to prefer the Crusader over either the Wraith or the Claymore?

The Crusader accuracy is like a sniper rifle, it has 3 shots, fires fast and reloads fast.

Depends on the kit. Crusader is also affected by shieldgate.

I love the Wraith on most mid-range and CQC kits, though occasionally my vanguards will go Raider.

Claymore is great, I've just been using it a lot since ME2 so now I find it a bit boring.

I bloody HATE THE CLAYMORE

It's the WORST WEAPON IN THE GAME!

After doing the Claymore points for the shotgun challenge, my brain had been rewired, and I was no longer able to use any other gun. I found myself reloading + reload cancelling the Talon or the Wraith after every shot, getting absolutely nowhere.

Also, the Claymore absolutely requires exactly these two attachments: smart choke and ammo extension. Yes, really. Without either of those, the weapon is maimed. Now, where can I put my high velocity barrel and omni blade? Oh, I can't. Well, that means it also requires exactly this ammo: armor piercing. You won't make much use of powers because of the weight, so it requires exactly one kind of character: a no-cooldown weapon build. Ok, when you do exactly this, you can get a high rate of fire with high impact hits, and top the score by two or three shotting brutes.

Having to play in such a narrowly constrained way feels like putting both my legs in the same trouser leg.

tl;dr -> Wraith

Just because you can only carry one shotgun?
Actually it is: Wraith AND Claymoar, unified in a single, glorious bloodbath.

The Smart Choke is arguably best for the Claymore, true. But ammo extension isn´t really needed. On Rank X it has 18 shots spare, I think. That´s more than enough to do a full circle to the next ammo box. If you take the ammo extension over the HVB you are gimping the claymoar.

If you don´t like the weapon: Fine by me. But it still is a great weapon as is the Wraith.

Even though I favor the wraith over the claymore, I do have to say that the claymore sounds better than the wraith.. Love the long boom.

I'll take the Claymore, anytime. All my Volus/Volii/Voluses/whatever use the Claymore.

Wraith is better IMO, there clearly are areas and situations where the claymore surpasses it, but the wraith's second shot and weight to DPS ratio makes it a better weapon overall at equal levels of course.

It's very kit dependent, but I will say the wraith is more versatile.

I did finally get my wraith X yesterday, so I need to take it out for a spin soon.

If you read the rest of my post, you'll see I am able to use it, and still manage to hate it. I even manage to explain why I don't like it. 

And this is the first time I've had reply to a post that wasn't on the first page of a thread. It's probably the caps that did it.

Without the ammo mod, mine has 13 shots, which is deep in camping-by-the-ammo-box territory. I might try it again at lvl X, if I can keep it from rewiring my neurons into reload+reload cancel after every shot mode for every weapon.

I did use it, but 13 shots is plenty enough to get you from one ammo box to the next, there's no reason to camp when you are one shotting 6 to 8 of the 8 enemies to spawn. (slight overexaggeration for Reapers and Collectors thanks to Armour Spam). Also you should be trying to Reload Cancel every weapon, obviously some weapons don't really need it but it still increases your DPS, if you're good at it, then why not accept the extra 50 DPS on the Avenger. I know I do.

Well, if I have to discuss seriously, I think that Feneckus' comparison is quite good.

The Claymore is to the Wraith what the Javelin is to the Black Widow.

Now, the difference is that Feneckus seems to believe that the Javelin is better than the Black Widow, something I will argue against.

They're different weapon, and they do different things. The Javelin can wallhack, and the Claymore can OHK pretty much anything smaller than a Brute. The Black Widow can kill three centurions in the time it takes to the Javelin to fir one shot and reload, and the Wraith gives you the chance to two-shot a ravager, carry another gun and still retaining perfectly fine CDs even on a vanguard.

And I could go on a lot more on the differences.

Bottom line, they're different. And anyone stating that one is obviously better than the other is simply not willing to see the differences.

The Claymore CAN OHK a Brute. On a Drell/Batarian Adept (Drell needs a headshot though). Maybe Turian Sentinel with incendiary ammo as well.

Oh I can see the difference. The Claymore kicks ass and the Wraith ... well, is the Wraith.

but anyways yeah they are either flex or pure power...some guns provide flexability while some provide pure slaming power

Luckly I like all guns in equal thought cept Hornet and Incisor

When you start reloading + reload canceling after every shot - with multi shot weapons like talon, wraith, black widow - you know you should lay down the claymore. Get this abomination off my back.

I can understand those on pc that use claymore on everything, but us lowly console players can't reload cancel with medigel making the wraith a more attractive option on casters from time to time.

It's not harder in console.  You just need a little more imagination.

Sometimes it's just easier not to worry about it.

Honestly it depends on the class. For a krogan/destroyer with no dodge you can tap a and have it cocked and loaded fairly well. There are other classes like the turian ghost where the tac cloak will cancel it for you, and between tac cloaks the power on cd, overload will do it for you without taking your thumb off the right analog stick. For the most part I'd say I can reload cancel almost as well as the pc guys, I just have to take what class I'm using into account before I determine if I'll put a claymore on it and how I will reload it.

The pause between shots on the wraith takes some time to get used to but once you get the timing down its a good gun. Just not as good as the Claymore
