Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but i couldnt find a ME1 bugs/technical issues forum. Anyway has anyone who just bout ME1 on ps3 tried using AI Hack. It never registers when I try to use it on anything from turrents drone and any type of geth with their shields down.
I believe they Bioware misplaced some line of code or something because it has never registered in my two playthroughs. I hope someone at bioware fixes cause this power could have saved my ass plenty of times from geth.
AI Hacking straight up doesnt work on Ps3?

I am on Xbox so I am not sure about the PS3 version, but AI Hacking in ME1 has always been a little wonky:
1) The units you can hack depend on the rank of AI Hacking. Basic Hacking will hack basic Geth Troopers, some drones, and I think Rocket Troopers. Advanced will hack Shock Troopers and Snipers, and I think more drones such as Rocket Drones. Master will hack Armatures, Destroyers, and Juggernauts. This is never explained anywhere in the game or manuals.
2) Hacked units will attack anything around them, including you and your squadmates. << I find this to be problematic as you have to be far enough away so they do not target you or your squad. I find that 50-75% of the time a hacked unit will attack you. Nothing worse than hacking a Destroyer and having it charge and melee you to death.
Also of note in Mass Effect 1, you can use biotics and tech regardless of whether shields are up or down. For example, you can still hack a Geth Destroyer with full shields, or lift a Krogan with full shields.

You seem to have a misunderstanding of AI Hacking in ME1.

The above page has all the information you should know about the power. Oh and in ME1 ALL powers will work on protected targets.
