I don't know how multiplayer is going to work in DA3, so this thread assumes it will work in a way similar to ME3, though I know it may be completely different.
Recently BioWare has introduced something to their games that I personally feel is horrible, the random loot chests. These are available in both Mass Effect 3 and The Old Republic, and as such it seems almost certain they'll be available in DA3. They're quite popular and have made quite a bit of money after all, why wouldn't they include them?
All I ask is that all items that are available from these rng chests also be available for straight up purchase with ingame currency. If there's a cool sword I want, don't make me buy 10 loot chests in the hope of getting it, just let me straight out buy it. People who still want to gamble on earning the item they want can, or people who just don't care what they get, and people like me who want one specific item can actively work towards it without having to go through the terribleness of rng.
If this game has multiplayer - random loot chests

This isn't a bad model: it's an ingenious and clever understanding and manipulation of the human...psyche based on the experiments of B.F. Skinner.

Lever. There are great studies out there on exactly how you need to make the pellets come out to keep the users interested. A constant stream of rewards makes it very easy to quit cold turkey.
