It's almost here! The Witcher 3 will soon be announced, and it will likely be a multi-platform release. What are you hoping to see for the third installment, and what improvements do you hope to see implemented?

Edit: The game was officially announced a few days ago! Lots of information revealed, as depicted and shown by posters in this thread.  Browse to look for links to the new screenshots and an extensive list of information and dev interviews. The game will be releasing on PC and all top line next generation consoles.

- Pro-Nilfgaard/Emhyr path
- Improved TW2 style combat (ex.more evasive actions like strafing and backstepping)
- Chance to kill Roche or Iorveth
- TW1 style "identity" quest
- Being able to pick Triss over Yennefer (Yen's mah waifu but picking Triss would be... interesting on a number of levels)
- Recognition of TW2 choices and alignments (I don't expect anything major from import but unlike with 1's handling there should be some recognition at least)

Anyway, what I want to see: choices mattering, Emhyr, Letho, Yen (obvious) ans improved combat.

I want Iorveth to be safe and well!!! After I killed Letho, Triss returned without the burned and scorched Iorveth. She told me that he's in good hands. That's the only thing I want. My bro Iorveth ok ! :'(

I am really not expecting anything in particular... I just hope to be surprised as much as I could be... Im not sure if I'll follow thru, but would like to avoid as much information as possible... Exception the first trailer and "some" info.

First game was like that to me... Didnt know **** about it, and one of the great things of it was learning about the world and characters as I was playing the thing.
For TW2, I feel I spoiled it TOO MUCH in advance for me... lol

Off the top of my head:
* Nerf quen. Yeah, I know, they already nerfed it, but it's still too strong for my liking. Maybe have it hinder your movement, similar to Iron Flesh in Dark Souls.

I agree with this. It does seem a bit overpowered.

No, don't hurt my Quen! I love that sign to death.

It undermines the entire combat system. Get rid of it, or at the very least a massive overhaul.

Oh was this announced already? I was almost positive Cyberpunk 2077 was gonna be released before the Witcher 3. And that is at least 2 years out.

It would suprise me, but I certianly wouldn't say no to it.  I just hope the console version doesn't take a year to be ported...

I'm sure they will release it on both xbox and PC at the same time. They have a lot of xbox fans now.

The Witcher 3 will be announced early next month.

I would like to see Quen removed entirely and give Geralt more maneuverability as far as side-stepping and easier, more rapid rolls. I also think parrying in all directions should be from the start, along with more places to meditate and drink potions. As far as story dynamics, I hope, too, they remain the same.
