It both saddens and gladdens me that we will not have an huge impact on the Scoi'atle (yeah I butchered the name, it's 12am, sorry.) It's great that Geralt isn't just another RPG character that solves that world's problems; but it sucks that I've grown attached to Iorveth so much that I really want to give the elves a bit of a break.

In book canon they kind of got it.

Anyway, looking forward to killing Yaevinn on my next playthrough.

I'm still waiting for the others to be translated (Last Wish and Blood of the Elves noob here.) I'm aware of fan translations, but tbh, I couldn't spend 3 hours staring at a screen reading something.

It's strange, I know, I could spend an entire day playing Skyrim, but focusing for 2 hours on text alone is a little jarring for me :-/

I´m afraid that´s the only way you´ll get to read the books, unless you know some european languages. It looks there is some trouble with the rights, and I´ve also read the english translation is very bad. They also skipped book 2, which introduces several characters and plots.

I'll be saddened too if Iorveth, the Scoiatel, Saskia and the whole of Vergen get the shaft. Hopefully there'll be quests within the game that feature them and give us a clue as to what they've been up to since TW2.

Witches are sterile as well. You're barking up the wrong tree.

Eh...that's a fair criticism. Pretty embarrassed with that suggestion :P. We don't need that Dragon Age crap in The Witcher. Hell...I don't even mind no romance...just want some tail now and then.

Geralt turns around, to see Siegfried and Roche in Redanian uniform as companions :o

Awesome!

And now I'm picturing Geralt joining Emhyr var Emreis and his cause in the Northern conflict and its demise, as well as him teaming up with Letho and the rest of the School of the Viper members in stopping the Wild Hunt.

Make it happen!

I want Iorveth in Witcher 3! He was badly burned on my playthrough, and I never got to know what happened after Triss took care of him.
That's not how I mentioned my depart with Iorveth. I want him at my side during W3.

I loved the guy, but my Geralt loved Triss more (flameshield activated.) I hope he doesn't turn into a Kaidan and can see that his revenge was not in my best interests at the time. Or can at least understand that for me, Triss was more important than exacting justice on his overblown boner-killer.

That happened in my playthrough as well.:( I felt so bad about letting him down. No magical "save all" option in The Witcher.

Good lord. This game hasn't even come out yet, and someone is already claiming he won't play it for the stupidest reason:

No More Witcher for RazörFist (And Why) - VLOG 28

A shame. I've always considered Razorfist an intelligent and oftentimes hilarious reviewer. But after this I've come to the conclusion that he's nothing but a pretentious git. Ah well, at least Angry Joe is still around.

What I don't get is how with 2+ million sales they can do ALL OF THIS?! Do other devs just throw that money away at CGI trailers or something? How does CDPR afford all this?

They don't pay their workers very much.

Also, they have a cash cow: GoG.com. That helps, without a doubt.

Seriously? One video took you from "intelligent" to "git?"

While there are similarities in looks and some personality traits, and Moorcock influence is clear (as is Tolkien´s), no point comparing them. For starters, Geralt would never use Stormbringer, or pact with a Lord of Chaos (or Law for that matter). Maybe the guy should actually read both characters before saying anything.

EDIT: it looks he´s boicotting the books. What made you think he was intelligent on the first place? Maybe he shouldn´t have read Elric either as he was obviously based on Conan (by way of a 180º turn, admitted by Moorcock).

I suppose my turn of opinion seems sudden, but I can't help but feel he's being needlessly idiotic in his reasoning for swearing off The Witcher. I've watched the guy for awhile and while I've often enjoyed his videos, I've always had the sense he was talking out of his ass half the time. This video just confirms it.
