...I have to say, this sounds pretty mouth-watering.

...and I also have to say, they sound very idealistic. it sounds fantastic, but we'll see how it works out, I suppose.

And I hope some of the awesome political complexity returs^_^

They don't pay their workers very much.

I don't think that's true - just that they have a currency and cost-of-living advantage, working out of Poland.

Let´s hope nobody here is just watching the TV show. But hey, Tywin worked very hard to end as he did. Almost cheered. The came the epilogue...

I should have specified--not very much in comparison to what other companies like EA do. Sure, there's a cost-of-living difference, but you don't see CDP decreasing the game's price because of that, do you?

But I'm not sure this is productive, so...meh.

BTW, where can I go for these screenshots and such? The OP doesn't have a link. Just the official site?

I finally have some time to spare and will play The Witcher.

Should I play the first game or jump to the second one?

The renderer isn't updated yet, so the screenies have an unfinished look to them.

Have to say, the idea of anytime sailing is definitely awesome. I liked the sailing in Assassin's Creed 3 but it was limited to missions. I think this is a great idea.

The three amigos reunited once more? Awwwww yeaaaaah

Er... The above pic reminds me too much of this:

Too Many Dicks on the Dance Floor

No offense, but I wouldn't want Geralt's companions in the next game (if he has any) to be all dudes. I like Roche a lot (Siegfried I have no opinion of, since I never played the first game), but surely there's room for some womenfolk in the mix. Perhaps Triss or Yennifer?

You must be new here. The three amigos is a refrence to three certain characters, it does not mean Geralts companions. It is a nod to two characters that alot of us enjoy and loved seeing together(hence that picture). Alot of us are looking forward to Geralt and Ciri teaming up, but alot of us would love the return of the three amigos as it was one of the best moments in TW2.

I did not. Ran out of time (I don't usually keep much on my Steam account). I should have plenty of time to get it though, later on.

Do you think it will be necessary for TW3? To understand the plot, world, etc?

The pic with Geralt in the fjords next to the whale really got me thinking about how it might be handled. I hope it's a developed game mechanic that takes skill and thought to navigation. And maybe we could engage in activites while we sail, like scoping the shoreline with a spyglass or chatting with a companion. It's not a gameplay element I expected at all, but I'm kind of mezmerized by it now.

Moreso with TW2 than TW1, I would say yes. For those looking forward to TW3, and considering the accessibility and cheap cost of getting the highly acclaimed game, I see no reason not to pick it up. Also eager for the 'anytime-sailing'.

I hope the sailing mechanic is fully sandbox and allows total navigation freedom. Of course, I wouldn't mind more linear mission structure for specific quests, but for immersion reasons in a sandbox, naval navigation needs to be sandbox.

TW1 is very different from TW2 and likely also from what TW3 will be, but I do recommend playing it. Although it is not necessary to have played it to understand TW2, I found that it did help, because several characters are already introduced in the first game (Triss, Zoltan, Dandelion, King Radovid, King Foltest). The story of TW1 is good and the game has several interesting side quests which require you to make a morally grey choice.

Their games have often been sold at discount from the start, and usually drop in price quickly.  Plus they give free DLC.  They also gave everyone who bought on PC, even if you bought retail, a free, no-DRM backup copy on GOG.com.  Um, yeah, so suggesting that they gouge is pretty ridiculous.

There is an official-unofficial fan tumblr that has a lot of screenshots.

Did gamers really whine about the "difficulty" of the tutorial? Really?

I do remember a Let's Play where the chick was struggling a bit with the controls in the tutorial.  I think I had problems at one point not being able to figure out what to do, and ended up backing out of the tutorial to just start the game on my own.  Don't recall exactly what the issue was.

For people like me, who bought the Premium/Standard Edition, that was more like a free digital CE upgrade.
