I´m just afraid of last minutes "surprises" after ME3.
ME3's ending wasn't a surprise if you recognized the descent into derp, retcons and inconsistencies that began with ME2's intro.
You really don't like ME, don't you?
If I didn't like ME(1) then the faults of the sub-par sequels (storywise) wouldn't upset me.
Once you start killing the protagonist five minutes into the sequel for mere plot contrivances and nothing more, then the only direction for your story is straight down.

The tattoo better import.
+1
And not have the clipping issues the one in 2 would have at times.

If its available, my Geralt will be alive at the end of the saga, with Triss by his side.
...
Oh. I. Cannot. Wait. For. This. Game.
Currently replaying TW2, I guess TW1 is next.
Dark Souls 2, Project Eternity and TW3 coming up... It's a good time to be an RPG fan.
Too bad the Dragon Age franchise went down the drain after a fantastic first game.

Forget that ***** of Triss. Or at least don´t be surprised if she betrays the main trio again.
That's my choice to make
Btw, in the first game (during Chapter 3) there's a scene where Triss talks to one of the lodge (Eilheart?) Anyway, the Sorceress says "never let the Witcher know what you hide from him."
Could it be from the books, or is this something else that will be revealed in the Witcher 3?

Seb loves to bash Bioware. Just loves it.
As do a few here, I've noticed.
Anyway, I have a question. The Wild Hunt: Is this TW3 specific? Is it from TW2 (which I have not played)? Is it something one should know before playing TW3, I guess?

If I were you, I'd go and play TW2 before TW3. It's required to have some understanding of the political plots going on in the background. You'll appreciate it a lot more that way since TW2 does a Sorceress very good job at establishing the politics.
So when you see Nilfgaard, you'll actually appreciate them more than just some huge unkown who are doing this for no apparent reason.

Thw WH plot begins in TW1, although it leads you to believe they are something very different from what they really are. They are very important in Geralt´s plot in TW2 though.

Alright, thanks.
It has everything to do with "Geralt's memory is restored" also which is kind of a big deal.

It's sort of the backdrop of all the games, though you don't hear much about it until TW2 where it's foreshadowed more openly. You just know that Geralt was believed dead and something traumatic happened to him which erased his memory. He slowly starts recovering it and realizes this part of his past is tied up with the Wild Hunt.EntropicAngel wrote...

Oh, don't worry, I do plan to play TW2. But I'm just wondering about this Wild Hunt thing, if it's been established say in the books or something before TW3.

Considering she didn't tell Geralt about Yen, and how much Geralt cared about her, it could be this. And that sorceress was Eilhart. The polish VA was the same in TW2.

It could be. Considering from what I know from Blood of the Elves, Triss has almost an obsession with Geralt. But typical canon G still screwed Shani xD

It's a key part of the lore and has been part of the games storyline since TW and it's King is very important to the plot and I can't wait to kick his ass in TW3 and kill his flesh body, not his ghostly bodyEntropicAngel wrote...

Geralt doesn´t know either what she did during the search for Ciri in the books. Before the Rivia massacre Yenn was looking forward to telling him. While he wouldn´t hold a big grudge against Triss, they knew he´d never trust her again. And if Triss is with the Lodge, she can´t be trusted at all.

Shani was never anything other than a one night stand, for both of them. In the games they mixed her with another character from the second tales book, who had a huge crush on him.

Sounds like I need to wikia the hell out of TW1 before I play TW2 and then eventually get to TW3.
CDPR also released a clever and terrific animated "story so far" as part of marketing for the Enhanced Edition, which I own. Should go nicely with wiki for you. It's on YouTube...wish I could link it for you. I'm sure I missed many themes and nuances and details from the first game, but alas, there is still plenty to pick up in TW2. And books available in game also help fill it in.
I decided to simply watch a Let's Play, too.
