The interview left clear Geralt is looking for both Yenn and Ciri, and the WH probably wanted Geralt & Yenn both as bait for her. But in Lady of the Lake they really needed Ciri to move their plan forward. The unicorns warned her of their intentions were far from noble and showed her how to escape. Or maybe the TW have found some bypass, then I guess they could attack with their total numbers instead of just the WH scouts. Then they could be trouble.

But hundreds of unicorns charging and goring the WH. Mmmmmm...

Best course of action would be just telling Emhyr the WH is after Ciri. I don´t see him pleased.

 I bet, he will be pissed. But I don't think that he can do anything about it ;)

No big bad evil please.

Come on Seboist, it's been clear from the TW the last confronation for Geralts story in the games would be with the King of the wild hunt, his real form. There is no way you did not see this coming.

Hell, the game is called the Wild Hunt, that's a very good indication of what will happen.

Well of course but I hope he's not another Archdemon or pre-ME3 ending Reapers.

If anything, I could see the Kings motivation be to raise an army of riders to take something back he lost in another dimensions, it could also be he is doing an all out attack  for Ciri and Geralt, one person who he does need and another who is a much more personal matter.

This could also explain why compared to the other Emhyr var Emreis has been far more ruthless and taking more land into the empire since hs is one of the few to be connected to the WIld Hunt(Ciri, his elder blood and his own intrest in it which we find out from Cynthia) Now I'm not saying this is his main reason, but it could be one of his personal reasons for his reign, not his main reason. Which is to put the elder races on top and bring culture and understanding to the North.

First he would be upset because he now needs to cancel his conquest with the North :P

Why would he do that? Trying to take down Geralt I mean. The Wild Hunt likes following him around, because where Geralt goes, death follows. At least that was what was said in the first game.

Emhyr´s goal in the books was to prepare the world for the Ice Age. When he had his goal at hand, he realized how much it would hurt Ciri and decided to quit. Then Nilfgaard lost Brenna in addition to that. No idea now, but both Nilfgaardian invasions were under Emhyr´s reign, so it´s possible another part of that plot.

That´s mostly because the WH are sadistic bastards. Think of a kid playing with ants. Their actual goal is another. I guess they needed bait for Ciri, and Geralt is the best one.

Who's to say he wants to kill Geralt? He had Geralt once and served him for awhile before Geralt was able to escape(which was the start of TW) It's very possible the king wants Geralt back as a rider because of that, detah follows Geralt.

As i said, not his main goal. Emhyr is not a simple man, he's complex. He has many goals, some which he dropped for personal reasons(we are not oging to get into the Ciri one because it's disgusting )

That...that....is just beautiful.

I mean it's obviously a benchmark engine, but there were moments when I was wondering of what I was seeing was reality or CGI.

That looks just amazing. The trees and shrubs are moving in the wind! Rain drips off of the rocks! This game is going to blow up my gamer laptop by the time it comes out.

This week the Witcher games (along with other RPGs) are 50% off at GOG. Oh... and System Shock 2 is available *cough.*

He wanted to marry and have a child with Ciri because as Ithline's
prophecy said, Ciri's child would rule half the world, and the son of
her son would rule the whole world.

This is the part that I don't like. Not that you don't like Triss, that doesn't really bother me; but the fact that they're meddling too much with what Geralt does on his own choice. I'll just headcanon Triss wanting to go and Geralt being reluctant. And I hope to god we're not forced on Yenn. As much as he's his 'long lost love' to me, she's nothing more than a relic, a chapter than needs closure in Geralt's past life so he can move on.

From what I understood, PC Geralt will basically get to choose between Yennefer and Triss.
Which is pretty much the ideal way to end it all.

She´s everything but that. Triss is indeed a failed attempt to leave Yenn behind that failed miserably. And if Essi Daven couldn´t make Geralt leave Yenn behind, then that Triss ***** has no chance or right to do so. Why do people keep ignoring she´s taking advantage of Geralt´s amnesia and betraying two people she claims to care about? With friends like Triss, no need for enemies. She showed in the past, and now again.

That's for your Geralt to decide. Mine is obviously clueless of Triss' intent. What you're proposing is meta-knowledge, you know a lot more due to your past with the books, but simply knowing that 'X' might be a good guy, doesn't mean Geralt knows too.

But that's my idea of an RPG, others differ of course.
