If it only took place in Skellige I would rip my hair out.
Why? You could kill all those look-alike Greyjoys

Chocies made in TW2 should have a big impact in TW3. If you killed Henselt, then Kaedwen should be in chaos in-game. It should be a whole difference experience then a pt where Henselt is alive. That's just one of many examples. one of my big issues with TW2 was importing from TW really only changed some dialog and gave us a few cameos.

Fine for me, but people who need money and just want to play the main plots are going to complain about mandatory fetching quests.

And, who was the Witcher at the end? I feel like it was Berengar, because he's the only one who's face I even vaguely remember, but I killed him...and is this plot twist explained in TW2?

There are strong hints. I'm not sure if you want this spoiled, but it is a major twist that IMO makes the plot. Big hint: Geralt knows him well under another name, and helped make him who he is. How Geralt dealt with him earlier in the game is reflected in the final dialogue. It's really brilliantly done, but is indeed subtle.EntropicAngel wrote...
Finished TW1 yesterday (or technically today, I suppose).
I still maintain that the plot is very jumbled, but I think it's a good plot. Just a couple questions.

I'm not sure which part you mean here. In the Ice Plains? *snip*And, who was the Witcher at the end? I feel like it was Berengar, because he's the only one who's face I even vaguely remember, but I killed him...and is this plot twist explained in TW2?
Oh, now I know what that's about... the assassination epilogue, right? Oh yes.TobiTobsen wrote...
TW2 will explain who that Witcher was.

I'm not sure which part you mean here. In the Ice Plains? The Ice Plains are a recap of, and demonstration of the consequences of, Geralt's actions throughout the game. I don't remember if Berengar appears there or not. If you mean earlier, on the island where the Lady of the Lake is, then yes that was Berengar. AFAIK he has no bearing on Witcher 2. I can't remember if Letho mentions him or not. And, who was the Witcher at the end? Not really. He pretty much remains a mystery, as a person.

Plus Jaques makes fun of Geralt being preachy, something that only peopel close to Geralt know that's one of Geralts traits. There's also the fact Jaques says "I know from a trustworthy source." A play on with words.renjility wrote...
I thought the Jaques - Alvin thing was quite obvious. Jaques' dialogue even changes depending on what you tell Alvin during the Murky Waters chapter.

Triss also mentions that Alvin is capable of warping through space and time.

This is probably why I didn't catch it. I heard her say that, but I've never been comfortable with the concept of time travel so i probably subconsciously blocked it out.
That it does, vaguely however. Though I'd hope there we'll get more out
of him in the next installment. Maybe the school of the Viper members
will have something to add. Not that he really is that great of an
importance.

I am somewhat curious what became/becomes of the rest of the Kaer Morhen crew in general come Wild Hunt or prior to that, as it were. It is odd they never were mentioned in TW2...

This is something I hope TW3 addresses, ability to visit/go to Kaer Morhen again, and meet up with the other 3 surviving witchers.
