I found TW2 much more smoother personally. That's because the engine is much better then the engine TW used. TW used a modified Aurora engine.

Glad to see them going back to TW1 roots, that soundtrack was freaking awesome, one of the best, most atmospheric I've ever heard in an RPG.
TW2 music was... Okay, but nowhere near TW1.
