Yeah, I can imagine, but come on - it's been around since, what, 2002 ? Gotta let it go and switch to the new tech. It's almost like all those people that still cling to the old Windows XP.

And thanks to this F.A.Q. we know for sure now that the game will be a sanbox made of three huge ares - Skellige Islands, Novigrad and No Man's Land. So it's not really like it is in, say, Elder Scrolls games. I wonder how will the do the transition between areas considering that there is quite a distance between Novigrad and Skellige Islands [check your Witcher 2 map for reference].

I suspected before we were even told of the setting that it would consist of sandbox zones, not a contigouos area on the map. The reason being this would be a natural progression from the way TW1 and TW2 were structured. So I'm wondering about this as well.

Oh, and here and here you can listen to the Witcher 3 music used in the podcast. Personally, I love the second one - it reminds me of the Witcher 1 and its Celtic and Slavic feel.

I did not know that there were three seperate areas that are sandbox. I thought it was one big open world like The Elder Scrolls. It'll be good having this, as it should help with story continuity.

We don't know that for sure. They may tie them together in one map somehow, but it seems problematic to me.

Well, I'm still playing through TW2, but with the more open world that TW3 will have, I hope they realize their game map needs to be a million times better.

Will there be albedo/nigredo/rubedo or their analogs in TW3 alchemy?

A (Alexander Pushkar', Igromania):[/b]
Yes, they promised it.

Hell yes!

So a few more details from Igromania:

-Geralt can swim. Swimming in cold water drains stamina faster.
-boats are guided manually. Sail where you want.
-one capital (Novigrad), few towns and a lot of small villages. Flotsam from TW2 falls under "small village" category.
-combat now requires precise timing to pull off combos. No more button mashing.
-brothels, nekid ladiez.
-maybe female dwarves?
-the journalists said the island they did the demo on was as big as all of TW2.
-devs stress keep all your saves, even back to TW1
-drinking games are back

B..bu..but why TW1? That's where I'm in the ****s. It's just... well. I kept TW2 saves, that's for sure. But the first?

I hope they have 'Genesis' kind of thing. I seriously *don't* want to play the same canon playthrough of TW1.

Oh yeah, i knew saving save games like a dragon will pay off somehow :)
Also there are some sites for savegames, if yours are gone and dont want to play again just search for those. They usually work like a charm.

I just beat The Witcher 2 this morning.

I WOULD play The Witcher 1 if it was out on consoles.

Well, it's a shame then I guess. I loved the Witcher 1... much more then I liked TW2.

It had a much more... unique, slavic character, much richer atmosphere IMVHO. And personally I very much liked the pacing... and the different character each act had. The plot was more disjointed and overall weaker... there wasn't a masterfull political intrigue like in TW2... but it was still an awesome game.

You actually felt character development progress more... and you didn't become a rolling monkey :)

Watch a let's play!

Here's a few options:

www.youtube.com/playlist - Veriax. English bloke, very funny and likes to roleplay. Played as an order dude. Very in touch with his character.

www.youtube.com/playlist - Toegoff. American dude. Personally, I don't like him that much. But he's a great let's player. My issues are petty and to be honest, I'm ashamed of myself for even having them. But they're there...like my slightly overlarge head.

Oh boy, that's funny... does it really sound like that in English? I suddenly understand why some would advise to just play Polish with subtitles....

The voice acting is decent considering the circumstances. I mean, have you ever played the Gothic series? Even after the success of the first one PB just didn't care xD

Well, it's all part of the charm I guess :D

This sounds like a QTE.

Can't say I'm pleased, but The Witcher always seems to have been very twitch based so I can't exactly complain.

Maybe I'm just weird but I actually don't mind the voice acting in Gothic, aside from the main character saying "How're things?!" but that's less annoying and more amusing.
