Wait. You're at Letho and you can't beat Endregas? Have you finished that contract? I would advise you invest in Quen and Yrden and do a lot more sidequests or Letho is going to be impossible for you.EntropicAngel wrote...

After you go see Letho there are two branching main quests. Choose one and close chapter 1. Or ignore them for a while and finish the sidequests.(Finish Mystic River damn it.)
Alright, cool, thanks.
It still feels like the difficulty curve is a lot sharper than TW1. Encountering a group of the...the enemies that look like Rachni (enga--something) and actually trying to fight them pretty much ends in death each time. But I'll get there, eventually.

I don't get the hype for this game.
You can say to to almost every game.
Anyways, after the amount of praise TW2 achieved and it simply being a TW game, it's not surprising the trailer will garner a lot of hype from people.

Roll back throw a dancing star, use quen, and then take em out with light strikes or use inesectoid oil I guess.EntropicAngel wrote...

I would advise doing all the quests BEFORE going with Iorveth to meet up with Letho. You will have pick a side during it and there will be consequences. Did you get the quest with Blue Stripes ? It's inside a building near the tavern.
I don't think so...which building?

This house. It's right beside the tavern.

I'm finding myself less inclined to just barge into people's houses this time around, for some reason. Though to be fair I didn't really do it to everyone in TW1.

Hah@ EntropicAngel; video games have made me a klepto in a virtual sense. I raid everything that isn't tied down or behind perma-locked doors, on the chance I might find something unique. I don't necessary take everything, as that leads to inventory bloat, but I do check everything out. Nobody seems to mind, hilariously.

You should do that more often, considering there are no consequences for stealing [yeah, yeah, I know, breaks immersion], but it's more about missing stuff. Conversations with people, quests and loot needed for crafting.

It IS a huge immersion breaker. Seeing how they did it, I suppose it would be better if we could only enter key houses.

Letho was...really hard. Quite hard. But really, as it's a twitch system, it's just a matter of figuring out how to move your character correctly.
I started off by trying to spam Aard on him. That actually worked somewhat well. But it didn't recharge fast enough, and my health depleted too quickly. So I moved on to Yrden, and that worked pretty well too. Just set up up when he's in-between attacks, and lure him over it before slashing away. But that ended up not working too (though I think I could get it to work if I tried).
So finally I just loaded a save from before the battle breaks out and drank a few potions, Swallow and Rook among them. Went back and tried Aard, and eventually got it to work.
I sided with Roche, partially because I wasn't interested in creating an elven state through blood, and partially because Roche's quest seemed more like it would apprehend the kingslayer.

It's pretty good. I'm having trouble with the action/twitch side of it, but that's because my GPU is so poor. Once things get smoother I should have a much easier time of it.
It does feel like there are less politics involved (which stinks), though this chapter will have more I imagine.
All in all probably a step in the right direction for TW.

I've gotten through that whole part (the conspiracy quest) to the killing of the the guy with the Seltkirk Armor. That's where I've stopped for now.

You should take a look a final fantasy XV.
I personally feel that, from the looks of it, Square Enix's Luminous Engine (the one in FF XV, and in their tech demo "Agnis' Philosophy") and CDPR's Red engine are the two most powerful engines out there, they blow everything else away.
