I'm currently in the middle of The Last Wish, and I also got Blood of Elves ready to go. That's all I need right? As in, when people talk about "the books". Because those are the only ones translated?

You are provably right, I got a little lost about when was "on or off" with Yen because of the short stories kind of thing the books had and I havent had time to read them all a second time
But, wasn't she seeing some mage guy while still with Geralt? The guy with long nails and disgusting flasks. Again, I might be mistaken.
Yes, I think it was in Shards of Ice. She can´t take the stress of the situation and breaks up with both. Later tales show Geralt just can´t get over her, and it´s hinted it´s mutual, then they make up by the 4th book, and then Thanedd (sp?) happens.
During the tales it´s a kind of relationship I haven´t seen much in fantasy books, as it´s often harmful for both of them, and they know it, but Geralt at least can´t do anything to get over it, while Yenn tries to keep distance because she thinks they are going to get burned yet again. They do manage to fix things in that regard early in the saga, though.

Wait so 80 special individual monsters to hunt with their own backgrounds and unique abilities and appearance? Glad to know it won't just be ruins and caves out there in the world. This actually sounds like one of the best features of the game. I can't think of any other game giving unique AI to 80 individual unique beasts.
Sounds better than DnD.

Nothing new in that interview that hasn't been said 100 times already. Joe picked the wrong questions.
What did you want him to ask?

It's probably the only questions he could ask without getting the "maybe, you'll just have to see" ****. It's limited to fifteen minutes, he had others to interview and I don't think it would have been productive to get all your questions answered with "maybe yes, maybe no."

Not that much longer then Joe's but much more informative.

Additional footage doesn't make interviews better, unless if gameplay is being narrated through it.

They even went a little bit into detail about how this was achieved! It's not just the fact that there are 80 plus monsters, it's that you'll LITERALLY have to track them and rely on your witcher senses to discover them. I can't friggin wait, this thread needs a lot more attention.
Seriously about time to start holding people at gunpoint to make them play. I almost missed this series altogether, shudder to think about that.

Totally agree, but as long as they keep the interesting politics of the story intact, monster hunting wouldn't hurt anyone.

Well it's not just that. They each have unique history and different weaknesses so you have to learn about them before you engage them in battle. Of course you have to track them first as you're saying. So we'll get a monster hunting feel with it all.
I thought the world was just going to be like every other open world game with caves and ruins to explore and what not. Having these monsters roaming about makes the world even more interesting not to mention the smaller enemies we're going to encounter.
I didn't actually think W1 or 2 got the monster hunting done correctly. W3 sounds like it has.
This game + DkS2 will make next year.

Honestly the monsters (and monster-hunting) is probably the aspect of the Witcher that interests me the least. Its the all the scheming and feudal politics that I find interesting.
Though it's still a good sign that this won't be a generic sandbox game, that's what get's me excited.

Let´s hope so. While things look good so far, I can´t help remembering Gothic 3. Even without all the bugs the world just didn´t feel like Gothic. But at least Xardas´s plan was great.
"Man, **** y'all, I'm out!"
This should be a fourth option in any RPG to be honest.
