I'm still not sure about Geralt's signature 'armoured onesie' we keep seeing him wearing in all the promos though.

I miss his old signature leather jacket.

I like it, got a nice TW1 Neutral Raven's Armor vibe.

Maybe...Raven armour looked more aesthetically pleasing to me though, less like chainmail spandex.

Just my opinion, anyway. Geralt's armour is about the only thing I don't like the look of in this game so far. :S

I'm wondering if the polygon count is for basic settings, aka no tessellation. Probably, as tessellation will greatly increase poly count at high settings, which is how I plan to play. Posted Image

I love the leather suite from TW1, my favourite.

Me too, I'd love it if CDPR threw it in again. :)

Since this is the Witcher general thread, Andrzej Sapkowski will release a new novel next week!

It won't be a sequel from the older novels so the timeline of the games won't be affected (I think).

Nice, now to wait years until there is an English translation I can read.

Hey, following our recent announcement of the distribution deals of The Witcher 3 in North America and Europe, there have been some concerns regarding DRM and previous legal issues with The Witcher 2. We’ve seen a lot of comments in various places around the web and we would like to join in on the conversation.
I’d like to say it loud and clear: The PC version of The Witcher 3 will have absolutely no DRM from day 0. Zero. Zip. Nada. It doesn’t matter if you choose to buy it on GOG.com and support us directly or buy the game in box format, you’ll still get the 100% DRM-free experience. And this goes for the whole world.
We’ve fiddled with DRM in the past (Oh boy! How young and naïve we were;)) and that’s enough. Lesson learned.
Having said that, I’d like to thank you for your continuous support. You’ve bought six million copies of the Witcher games so far. Whoo-hoo! Let’s celebrate. Here, have some cake!
UPDATE:
It’ll be on Steam; the team isn’t going to exclude that community by any means. Gamers have a choice in where they buy their games, but where CDPR does have control — like GOG.com — there will be absolutely no DRM.
Cheers,
Marcin Iwinski

Sweet news Renjility. Think I'll get the game off GOG to make sure CDPR gets my full support.

Witcher armor designs > Dragon Age armor designs

Yeah, BioWare are way behind in the armour department for Dragon Age.

Just look at Dark Souls man! Some awesome pieces there :-)

I don't know, I like some of the DA:I designs better than that whatever-it-is that Geralt is wearing in all the TW3 promo material.

I liked TW2 armors a lot, except for the slight obsession with hoods.

I just love TW2 designs. The detail is amazing. Seriously, look at a HD pic from one... no, I'll just show you one.

First one is about DRM, nothign new really but refreshing to hear. In the second vid, Konrad mentions we will be revisiting areas from the frst game. I hope it's Kaer morhen.

It'll be that swamp near Vizima. They'll troll us all!

Good on them for the lack of DRM.

I don't mind it in the most bare sense (like Steam when it's not being temperamental and refusing to let you play offline), but I'm glad they're keeping that route.

I wonder if Gamestop will have hard copies to pre-order. Hopefully.

I hope Kaer Morhen and Vizima will be those locations. Considering they released concept arts of Triss room and Vizima:

Vizima / Cloister of The Order most likely conquered by Nilfgaard considering the flags

^ Going back to Murky Waters with the exact same soundtrack redone would be too much nostalgia to handle. Maybe even see the Lady of the Lake again. And seriously, Murky Waters looked pretty with that old engine...the very thought of it with Redengine is...delicious. :3

I'm thinking Kaer Morhen though. I still think that was Vesemir with Geralt in the trailer, would make sense to meet up with him and the old gang there.

Would it possible to die of nostalgia? Maybe CDPR can achieve that. Perhaps butterflies and ants will crawl out of our skulls in some spontaneous metaphysical phenomenon.
