Google tells me Novigrad is a city, so we'll actually see a city large enough to be believable?Luxorek wrote...
Multi-region open world. Meaning three different areas [Skellige Islands, Novigrad, No Man's Land] each bigger than the combined landmass of TW2, than you can travel through by foot, horse or boat. You can visit each of these areas from the beginning of the game.

I've never had much interest in the Witcher games. I tried the first game and couldn't get into it. Geralt was too defined for my usual tastes in RPGs and the gameplay left me cold.
...I think I might want to give this one a shot though.
Don't expect that to change. You can make differing decisions as Geralt, but he is still and will always be THE Geralt of Rivia. A defined character you can guide to some extent along differing paths.
I say this as someone who loved TW2, by the way.

No game at this point is gonna have a city large enough to be believable. At least not compared to reality, the whole point is to suspend your disbelief and enjoy whats there.
For example, I could totally believe Rome in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was what it was supposed to be. Dragon Age 2's Kirkwall, less so.
Whether the cities in TW3 will have all the right things to appear believable we won't know for quite some time.

I think I just have to try and approach it like I did Deus Ex: HR. I loved that game. I suppose I'll see. I've dropped some hints to people that I'd like TW2 this Christmas, so I'll see how enjoyable I find it. And how much I like Geralt I suppose.LPPrince wrote...

In all honesty, I had been playing Skyrim right before typing that, so my standards for "believable size" were desperately low.LPPrince wrote...

Medieval cities were not so large if you don't count the surrounding farms and outskirts. Besides, if its one of these regions I'm told is larger than the areas of TW2 combines, it must be considerable.

I actually preferred the combat of Witcher 2 over Witcher 1's boring, slow & dull combat. Hope it doesn't go back to that of the first game again
HAVE YOU SEEN THE GIFS?! xD what makes you think THAT of all things?! Look at 'dem ANIMATIONS! Look at 'dem MOVESS!

My god, how the environment reacts to your signs is a thing of beauty.

Better than that, CDPR released an uncompressed version of the trailer here (right-click to download).

I'm impressed.

I've made a little comparison of Geralt's face now and then. It's much more smoother looking, not to mention the lightning and such. I like it I have to say. Can't wait to see how they improved the conversation animations.
EDIT: Open in a new tab, to see it in full glory.
