Order + Roche path for me.

Human dominance and pro-Temeria FTW.

Bah Order and a Roche pro-Radovid path is where it's at.

But that's what I did. Foltest was in favor of Temerian-Redanian Union in TW1 and I caried it out in 2.

Ah! Well you said pro-temeria so I assumed you meant that you handed Anais over to Natalis.

What did you do with Letho?

He's a dead myn.

No, because the people (and speaking creatures like trolls) are not motion captured therefore it is garbage to him.

Hmm, I usually let him go, mostly because his boss fight is kinda annoying and I get the feeling that, for all his talk of Geralt never seeing him again, he'll probably affect TW3 in some way and I wanna see how that turns out.

The Letho boss fight is easy as heck if you hit him with Aard and do Fast/Fast/Strong combos.

And yeah, he'll prolly affect something.

He actually showed interest in picking up TW3 b/c of the graphics. I think he's willing to compromise on the whole mo-capping obsession as long as a game has shiny graphics.

Order + Iorveth. The path probably least traveled.

Does Siegfried mention anything about the Iorveth alignment when talking to him?

Mr Siegfred, commander of the mighty "Hobos", only shows up on Iorveth's path once one infiltrates Henselt's camp, correct?

Going by the wiki, at least, the fellow attacks Gerry on sight once he shows himself.

I killed Letho a few times but I always feel like a dick when I do that. I mean he's such a bro, he helped Geralt many times and I'm grateful for him. So I'll never kill him again. Maybe this decision will bite me in the ass in TW3, but I'm willing to take that risk.

As for my canon path:

In TW1 I'm neutral, in the bank I helped the order

I still haven't decided my canon path in TW2, but maybe I choose Roche, kill Henselt, save Anais and give her to Natalis. This North seems to be the weakest to me, and I'm fine with it and I hope Nilfgaard will win the war.

Been a while since I've played, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't know anything about Geralt being involved with Iorveth or Saskia.  I don't believe your name has been cleared like I hear it does in Roche's path, so in this case, Siegfried just tells you he never believed you were guilty of killing the king and lets you go through.  Iorveth always has to go through the cave though being a wanted fugitive.

Aaah, memory was a bit shoddy there...

I am reading the man can be "spared" in TW1? That's an option exclusive to Neutral, I take?

Lol. We'll see how THAT turns out.

I think it's likely to turn out pretty awesome. But I'm sure it's endung 'states'. A few details for peeps just discovering the game:

-when you enable Witcher senses, distant noises will become clearer. Handy for tracking monsters.

-Axe throwing is a new mini-game.

-you can level up your mount and capture wild horse using Axxi.

-you only gain XP for completing quests, not for killing things.

-alchemical effects are now triggered by Geralt so buffs can lay dormant until you need them in battle. Some potions will work the old way though - drink before battle and the effect has a timer.

There is absolutely no reason to doubt that CDR will excute this briliantly, especially if they don't need to worry about leaving the door open for a future sequel.

Yep.  Siegfried always lives in the order path while you can spare him in neutral.  He always dies in Scoiatael path.

Except TW2 will only recognize Siegfried as alive when you import an Order path. I imported a neutral path in which I spared both Siegfried and Yaevinn, and Siegfried was not in the camp outside of Loc'Muinne.

But he's still alive, he's just absent from the order's camp in Loc Muinne. He's only there in the order path because he became grandmaster.

All the humans and elves being mo-capped is pretty much a guarantee.

Well, look back at Witcher 2. Cutscenes? Mo-capped. Combat attacks? Mo-capped. Fist-fighting, climbing, gap jumping, knockdowns, death animations, killcams, even the dialogue animations that are canned and re-used? All mo-capped. It would only make sense if they followed the same trend in Witcher 3.

I didn't know they were all mo-capped in TW2. I see.

Witcher 1 also used motion capture. And represents it even better, IMO.

TW2 was more realistic though. They even put the stuntmen in armor for the mo-cap so they moved with the appropriate sense of weight. I do want some of Geralt's sweet moves from TW1 back. That 360 degree group attack and the beheading animations.

I personally didn't think the 360 group "sweep" attack looked realistic at all.

I personally felt TW2 was a lot, lot smoother and fluid combat wise. It felt MORE twitch, which isn't necessarily a good thing (and they said as much), but it seemed a lot more fluid.

More fluid? Maybe I didn't notice because of all the rolling rolling ROLLING

I won't miss that at all.

You only roll if you choose to.

I rarely rolled.

Again, I'm not saying it's the epitome of combat (because I prefer non-twitch in an RPG), but it went well with the cinematic nature of the game.
