Did you read the books? Yen is suppose to look a lot more old than Triss, close to 40, she never hidden that, actually there is a instance in the books that Geralt even see into her illusion.

Triss in the books said she would never use cleavage ever again because of her scars, that is connect with her PTSD. Who mean the evil gay sorceresses that got tortured and had his ball remove? and the other her eyes?

Triss showed her cleavage in the first game, and it does not matter in age, SORCERESS ALWAYS LOOK YOUNG. You are clearly nitpicking and trying to pull some justice warrior crap, stop it.

The fact that Philipas sexuality was not changed proves they won't change Ciri.

Edit: So you know, Phillipa did had some boy toy in the books, of course it was for her schemes only but take that as you will. You clearly do not know much about the lore, so I am not going to engage any more.

I'll like her if she is similar to how she is portayed in the books. Book Yennefer seems to be cut from a similar cloth as Morrigan.

Yeah, she's not exactly all warm and fuzzy..but thats part of the appeal. Also Yen is Geralts canon LI, IMO.

I can't say I was at all fond of her in the books, but I'll go with her anyway for the sake of the story. Would be kind of weird for Geralt to just turn her aside

I admit, I'm very interested in finally meeting her. Never read the books, so I have no idea how her personality is.

But, I like the sound of her beign compared with Morrigan.

I'm not sure if I'd compare her to Morrigan, but I'd genuinely be frightened to cross her. She's a lot older and more experienced than Morrigan and knows how to play political games. She can also be a thundering b*tch, to the point I was cringing for Geralt while reading one section of the novels and simultaneously laughing at her response. Plus unlike Morrigan she probably doesn't smell like a swamp, I think it was gooseberry that her perfume was repeatedly described as.

Shani is best, everyone but Milian has found this truth. He's still stuck in a redhead.

She is confident on her best days and arrogant on her worst. Can be quite snarky. A bit of a schemer, and has her own plans independent from Geralt. Her relationship with Geralt is passionate but a bit tempestous, and they often spend periods apart and have other lovers, though they always end up drifting back to each other in the end.

Of course the game character might also differ from the character in the books in some ways.

I can really respect a character like that. I might actually end up with her in my first playthrough.

I guess I'll find out when I'm playing the game ^_^

Actuality Yen is a old character who has also been mentioned in the past two games and was one of the main characters in the book. If anything this is the woman he should only be sticking his 'nob in because their relationship was more then sex, unlike Triss who's sole purpose in the games was just eye candy and judging by that trailer, that is not changing at all. Oh well, hopefully we can at last kill her off, she's had enough books and games to screw up Geralts life.

As for Ciri, just  no people. Ciri is like a daughter to Geralt so stahp it.

That would imply that the games are following the books, and as far as I can understand, that's not how it is. This was also generally one of my main complaints about The Witcher as an RPG franchise, besides Geralt as a protagonst, and other things -- it's the fact that the games feel the need to cling to the plot of the books because they are based on them, as opposed to just following its own narrative within the Witcher-verse. In retrospect, she might have been a character from the books, but it doesn't really make any less new to the games, if we are to assume they follow their own interpretations of the original books. It's like how the characters from the comics that show up in Telltales' Walking Dead, or the characters from Wolf Among Us.

You also brought up another point tied to what I talked about before -- The fact that the protagonist Geralt is supposed to have feelings to these women, Triss or Yennefer, because thou must, the plot demands it, even if the former has a personality equivalent to that of a cardboard cut-out and the other one being a complete enigma and bears, with no large justification as of yet to why the player should really care about her either. You'd have to characterize them first, evidently.

Also, what's a Ciri?

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but this is the hidden message in the video:

"We missed you!

Today we got a look at the third trailer for the witcher 3 wild hunt. We hope you liked it!

There's much more to the game that it's just impossible to show everything within two and a half minutes.
Most importantly, we showed you a preview of our main characters:

Geralt's close friends and some of the last witchers remaining in the world. Vesemir, Eskel, and Lambert will play a big part in the game, as well as their famous fortress, Kaer Morhen.
You also got a glimpse of the renowned bard Dandelion and the sorceress, Triss Merigold.
Emhyr Var Emhyreis, Emperor of Nilfgaard, the most powerful man in the world of the Witcher also made an appearance. Recognise his voice?
And then there was Ciri!
And Yennefer!

By the way, if you're new to the series, don't worry, the game will provide you all the information you need to know, and you'll start loving (and battling) characters in no time!

Also you've been asking many questions about gameplay features and we're finally ready to answer some of them:

Yes, you will be able to fight on horseback.
The crossbow. Yup, Geralt has a ranged weapon. Because monsters fly and you can't stab them.
Remember swimming and sailing? You'll be able to dive and search for a lot of hidden stuff too. There's a whole underwater world to discover.
Horse racing anyone?

You also got to hear more music from the game. This particular track was composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz and Percival. We'd love to hear your feedback on our forums, facebook, or twitter etc.

CD Projekt RED

P.S. Have you seen the Witcher 3:Wild Hunt Collector's Edition video? What do you think of the figure?
P.S. If you still waiting for more, please be patient, we're just warming up!"

As in how does Triss not have a personality?

It's a turn of phrase -- It means I'm trying to insinuate that her personality is about as interesting as paper mache, and not in the slightest, in any form, engaging. I think the crowning moment of uglyness was in Witcher 2, where she basically serves as nothing more but a cheap motivation for Geralt to pursue the Kingslayer, aside from clearing his own name too. Supposedly being an all-poweful sorceress, she has a knack for getting kidnapped or be a burden on Geralt and others. It speaks volumes, to me at least, that I don't particularly care a lot for how CDProjekt approaches their female characters but that's that anyway. I liked Shani though.. but even she isn't perfect.
