I like the idea of visiting the places from the first game in this final chapter of Geralt's. Feels like everything is coming full circle and might increase the feeling of achieving some closure with the story and choices made in previous games. Unlike another game trilogy that I won't mention here.
Its just that everybody in the North paints Nilfgaard as the big bad evil We have never experienced Nilfgaard from their own POV.
So, Vizima is now part of Nilfgaard?
Seems likely, though I'm curious exactly how much the world state at the end of Witcher 2 affects this. There are different possible outcomes for Temeria.
Nilfgaard, the capital of it, is quite far down south. It would make traveling between it and Skellige, Novigrad and such a bit awkward perhaps. Besides, while Nilfgaard has better policies towards certain things, such as far less racial prejudice against the nonhumans, it still is a totalitarian regime.
Witcher 2 really doesn't have any issues. I mean the 3rd act is a bit short and more linear than the other two, but.... Isn't that what happens when you get near the end of a narrative arc.
Ok no. I love TW2 but don't act like it had no issues, no game is perfect and TW2 is no exception at all. While writing, ost and characters are better then DAO, but gameplay and roleplaying? Nope, DAO clearly wins there as DAO has far more depth and has more roleplaying options.

To be fair, anything that allows me to dance around and play with the NPCs as they desperately try to kill the obvious protagonist is hilarious for me. "Die as you understand the futility of your existence!"

Same here. Atm, it should be able to run it at 30fps, but probably on medium settings.
What can I say, I'm a glutton xD if it comes to it I'll blow you in the corner for 50 bucks xD

Well, for me I can probably play on the highest settings with atleast 70 fps 
But I can't turn everything to max. Have to lower the anti-aliasing to low or medium. Aaaand ofcourse no Uber-Sampling xD But I don't think anyone really used that option.
Other than that it should be fine. Maybe vsync off too. Not sure yet.
