Plot hole to do with the cipher

At the end of the game when SHepard is listening to the broken recording, why can't Liara understand it, even though she herself experienced the Cipher with Shephard?

Because I always leave her on the ship? Seriously, I'd guess that a second hand experience doesn't go far enough and the process was more about helping Shepard make sense of it all.

The beacon re-wrote Shepard's & Saren's minds. Their brains were adapted to think like a Prothean. Liara could experience Shepard's vision, but she would still experience it as an Asari & not as a Prothean, like Shepard. To experiance the Cipher as a Prothean would probably made all the difference.
