With my physical disk starting to fail and Steam dropping the game, I'm glad GOG picked up NWN2.

I wonder if this means a return to Steam at some point?

Excellent news, and long-awaited. I had been monitoring GOG's wish list for NWN2, and I'm glad they included MoW!

Great! We are still getting people asking where they can get a copy of the game.

Publisher is listed as Hasbro, not Atari, on GOG's listing.

About 70% of my last project was done on win7 x64. The only problem I experenced was some of the textures didn't always bake properly.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure I need it because I have all the disks, but... LOL!

Well, that figures. I ordered NWN Complete at (more than) twice the price from Amazon two weeks ago, it arrived yesterday, and I installed it last night. Typical.

Does it come fully patched up to the latest build?

Does it include NWN2 client extension? Only with that, with the gamespy fixed, is it fully patched...

The boxed version did. I see no reason why the digital version would be less up-to-date.

Is multiplayer working for this version? If yes, how do I register the cd-key provided with it?

Yes, it is provided somehow in your account from what i understand. ( You'd have to edit/create your nwn2cdkey.ini file i'd imagine, same instructions as for steam )

Probably could use verification on the method here after you try it, and where exactly you have to go to get it.

( i would like to know, just for my own purposes, exactly if the file exists with some generic cdkey, or if it's just a missing file, i'd like to provide a warning to players with my app that they need to go get it to play Mulitplayer )

With NWN2 client extension, the in game multiplayer browser works, and it fixes a lot of issues, adds in a connect command line parameter. Without it you have to direct connect. That is just one small reason to use it, it solves so many issues it's a bit overwhelming.

Thanks!
Yes, there is a nwn2cdkey.ini file in my game folder. It had no keys, just empty strings for them:
[CDKEY]
Key1=
Key2=
Key3=

So I copied the keys manually from my GOG account and now it works, at least with direct connect. Thanks again!

Fantastic news! I will be sure to advertise this a little on my own forums, and I advise other PW admins to do the same!

We should all do what we can to help sustain the community after the blows of losing gamespy support and having it pulled from a lot of sources...

The Gamestop page mentions "3 expansions" for both games. Is that just wrong, or do they mean MoW and some NWN1 premium module?

It's a steal, in any case. Thanks for the link.

Edit: Do you know if that's available worldwide? The link you provided works for me, but I've checked Gamestop's Spanish site and I can't find any results for NWN games. Weird.

The NWN/NWN2 hard copy bundle I got includes Kingmaker and Mysteries of Westgate, so I guess that's what they're referring to as the third expansions.
