This plat versus gold argument is stupid. Some good players prefer gold, others prefer plat. That is all.
Yup Yup. Its just preference really.
What you can't argue the design of platinum vs gold? I agree that arguing a players preference is nonsensical.
Like why was it designed as boss spam when many of the most dangerous units on each faction are the mook level enemies?
Why are you forced to play multifaction when this units were never designed to interact with each other? Wouldn't a platinum setting with individual factions preset as much or more of a challenge?
Why is multifaction limited to platinum? Shouldn't players who only want to play bronze, silver, or gold be allowed to experiment with multifaction enemies?
The balancings of kits get even more thrown out of wack when making the jump to platinum.
These are all valid points that should be discussed
I think platinum should not have been a multi faction level. I would have enjoyed just one faction totally upgraded, faster, multiple of each, different objective types limited to platinum etc. I dont disagree with platinum being kind of lazy in design. In matter of fact it would have been SOOO cool if they even had a new enemy per faction that ONLY showed up on Platinum. This way Platinum would have been a really niche difficulty where you see things that you could only see on Platinum. An example are the Dragoons.
It would have been cool if they were only showing up on Platinum thus making them unique to the level and would thus make other players excited to go up to Platinum because they see things that they normally would not see on lower difficuties.
This in my opinion should have been the way Platinum should have been designed. Something unique and different thatn the other levels and hard but revealing things that you cannot see on lower difficulties.
