Try not using ammo with a DOT effect. I did mine as a Batarian Brawler on Vancouver/Cerberus/Gold. Completed the challenge by about wave 5 with the Pirahna (Warp III ammo, Shotgun Amp III) but got sync killed via a Phantom during wave 6 device objectives (my own fault for not luring the enemies away first). Still got credit for the challenge so extraction wasn't necessary. Didn't actually see the 75 Shotgun medal pop up in the kill feed so was a little worried until I saw the stats at the end.

Somehow I got the 75 kill (general) medal, but nothing above a 25 kill medal for my weapon even though it was pretty exclusively what I was using...odd...

I wanted to do this in a duo with a friend, but did it accidentally as an Infidrell w/ Black Widow in a pretty average gold PUG that I ended up clutching a couple of waves of so ended up killing lots of stuff...

Shame.

class ACTION LAWSUIT!!!!!!

Just did a BRONZE solo, buffed with gear my Destroyer using devastator mode with a piranha shotty milked every wave. Round about the 8th I got the pop-up for the 75 shotgun kills.

Extracted successfully, and got a bull**** "you've been disconnected from the EA server". Finally got back in (had to try to log back in several times), and got zippo!!!! NO Commendation pack, and not even an recognition for the round at all!!!!!!  Plus my gear is gone... all my freakin gear burned up on nothin!  Don't bother blaming my connection I'm FIOS fibre and bullet proof!

WTF!?!?!? RAGE!!!!!

This and EA/BIOWARE waste time nerfing stuff, and let's not even go into the store that will never give me a fury! Go ahead lock/edit this, but it might be high time for LEGAL action. One thing we yanks know, it's a good lawsuit.

Seriously, somebody needs to address this ASAP.

same here, played PUG silver london/collector with turian infiltrator with vindicator, got the 75 AR kills gold medal 
but no commendation pack.. i have to say that we didn't fully extract as one guy died 2 second before ...

so it requires a full extraction i think..

I did a silver-solo last night with my Batarian Brawler + Crusader III. I got the commendation-pack but when I checked out of the store, my credits from the solo-run were subtracted from my total credits. I feel like I was robbed, sob sob. But I'm too lazy to go to the support chat for 35k credits. ^^

You have to finish the wave that you got the medal on for it to register, just like all other challenges. If you got disconnected during that wave then you'll just have to suck it up and try again. Shouldn't be that hard to do a Bronze solo with a Devestator, you don't even need all that equipment. Good luck with your raging though, I'm sure they'll take it seriously.

Did you use ammo consumables?

yeah.... it was either warp ammo or armor piercing with the claymore and incin ammo with the harrier.

Then that's your problem. Ammo damage isn't weapon damage, so every time you kill something thanks to the ammo, it doesn't get credited toward your weapon.

You should be able to avoid that by using something like Cryo or Drill rounds, which do not inflict damage. Or to be really safe, no ammo at all.

It's as though the game is programmed to disconnect occasionally to limit credit earnings, but couldn't be arsed with all that, so just did the credit bit.

You should use TGI (stim packs ftw) with Krysae or any Assault Rifle you have and solo Geth Bronze on Giant or White.
Kill mooks first, leave the bosses last.
On objective waves if there are to much enemies around objective, lure all enemies on the other side of map, cloak and run to objective, rinse and repeat..
You have long cloak duration so  disabling 1234 objective without losing cloak should be no problem for you, but don't rely on that.
On wave 11 stay far away from LZ until there are only 30-20 seconds remaining (depends fom map) and only then run for it.

Reporting back. I set this up on White just to try and play around once before really going for it. Ended up getting the medal and promptly bled out in Wave 7 or 8 due to stupidity. (Cloak really doesn't help much when I'd put myself in a corner between a Prime and a Pyro). So I ended up doing this challenge insanely fast.... 
After slapping myself on the back for five minutes I switched back to the character I've been playing with most lately - BatGuard. Set up Random-Random-Bronze and forgot to go public. Ended up soloing Reactor Hazard vs Geth while wondering why noone joined me.  Soo, I got the challenge and my very first solo done yesterday.  (Soloing with BatGuard is probably the opposite of what this challenge is about.)

Did a silver pug and was well on my way to 75 AR kills by the extraction wave, needed 5 more. Lined up my sites on a pair of husks at start of wave, squeezed trigger and freeze! My Xbox crashed..damn!
Start again, this time I just started a bronze pug on my own and nobody joined until around wave 5(in the nick of time I should say, thanks people). Got my medal and prizes(Valiant, medigel and phasic rounds) with a krogan soldier debuffing with carnage or inferno grenades( not too strong though) and taking them out with phaeston IX. Enjoyed this one BW, it felt quite competitive to get this done.

You be careful with it won't you?  It might be a bit old now but it has sentimental value.

Two little facts that can help:
Geth Primes Turrets and Drones count for the challenge and the Prime respawns them in seconds.
Weapons with high firing rates tend to get the last hit, even with relatively low damage.

Hey I just had a similar thing, only mine was only a bronze so I didn't think much of it.  I got my commendation pack, but no credits.

I did this first time with a Talon GI on Bronze, but a friend of mine was having trouble, so we did a duo with me as a Volus Vanguard spamming Shield Boost (and nothing else) so she could get all the kills. It was hilarious.

extraction not required. i did a half hearted solo game but died on wave 10. I couldn't be bothered to continue with a level 8 character so bled out. After the match I got a gold weapon medal and my Commendation pack...got the Hurricane VI.

i did a solo bronze with salarian infiltrator with claymore and finaly got it (tuchanka/collector)

If you are positive you had the Rifle/Weapon 75 kill gold medal maybe report it. It is not the same as the Gold 75 kills medal though, thats a total of all the kills you made.... you have to have the specific Weapon medal.
