I did mine on Gold, skipped Krysae and Kishok and didn't have the CSR unlocked yet. For single-shot snipers I used SI for shield stripping, for multi-shot I used Asari Vanguard for stasis sniping and for rapid fire I used the TSent or TSol.

This was pretty much the first banner I got and I still wear it. I thought it was pretty easy, though I'd already been using sniper rifles a lot.

Solo bronze or silver, it's the easiest way. Especially with the not so good rifles like the raptor, there is always someone taking your kills and thus your points. Also remember to tag everything on wave 11.

The SR challenge was actually the second one I completed (after Tech Mastery) and I just left out the Krysae (horrible horrible weapon, even when it was still good) and the Kishock.

SR is one of the easiest out there. I didn't feel a thing apart from Kishock. Use Krysae on Destroyer and you are good to go.

Javelin...Indra...BW....Widow...Viper...even Mantis are all reasonably good weapon.

For Mantis I did with QFI (pre-nerf).

Some of you mentioned skipping the Krysae and Kishock. I must have missed something, but I didn't realize you could skip something. 

Are they not all necessary to complete the challenge?

i recommend inscisor with barrage gear and stability consumable the 3 shots are bunched together. use infiltrators and destroyer for weapon challenges more damage no points wasted on using powers.

i also did viper, krysae and javelin and the guns you completed. oh and the CSR too.

You only need to complete 9 sniper challenges to unlock the banner. I think there are 12? 13? total so you can ignore a few of them that you're not excited about doing.

I wouldn't recommend skipping Kishock though. That gun is a blast. Treat it like a shotgun and watch the enemy do backflips.

I don't think any of the SRs are difficult, but my least favorite is the Incisor. Each weapon has its own feel, characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. Once you get the hang of any SR, the points can build pretty fast. Most of them have a significant hip fire penalty, so use the scope. The Raptor and Valiant don't, but they are starting from such a low baseline, use a scope.

I think a lot of the pain folks feel for some of the SRs is just learning curve. You're not going to complete a challenge for most in a single match, but across multiple matches. Give yourself time to learn the weapon. One of the benefits of the challenges is that it can get people to use a weapon or character long enough to appreciate the benefits of that weapon or kit.

I got it by soloing a butty load of reaper/bronze. Took a bit, but its awesomeness is worth it.

When I did it (it was my first weapon banner tho) I went for the following weapons:
N7 Valiant
Kishock Haproon Gun
Black Widow
Javelin
Widow
Mantis
Viper
Raptor
( I had the Sniper Rifle Medals one because I was playing the infiltrator a lot before I went for the banner, but if you don't have it I'd say go for the Indra)

PS: Did them mostly with the Human Infiltrator,

Just spec Energy Drain, Prox. Mine, and TC for damage, as well as your passives for weapon damage and put on some Phasic/AP Rounds and sniper amplifiers (gear/consumables).

When shooting at shielded enemies just go TC, fire ED and shoot, because of stun effect you'll have time to aim for the head whilst still invisible so you'll get the 40% + 40% + 25% TC sniper bonus damage + your passives' + ammo's + gear/consumables'.

When facing armored targets it's the same process, but using PM instead of ED.

Take into account enemies will give you more points on higher difficulties but since you're not speccing health Plat will probably be way too much, so I think Gold is ok.

Rinse and repeat. I think that should help.

YeY! thumbs up 4 salarians:D..phasic/drill rounds are the best way to go for snipers, also u need to learn/improve your reload-cancelling for 1-shot-SR..try soloing, u'll get your banner faster;)

I chose the Incisor since it can rip through shields. Slapped on a damage mod and incendiary ammo for armor.

Good luck. It might take some time, but it was fun working towards it. It was fun learning how to work with each and playing with various builds.

My two favorite ways I've completed this was using the n7 detroyer with my shoulder missle and devestator mode and full on weapon spec. The other way ive gotten this my first time was to use bubble statis and then just start killing. It is recommended you learned how to reload cancel on the single shot guns. I always went with the extended barrel and armor pierce mods with some non-consumable snipper equipment.

The rest, I've started, but it's painfully sloooow.

Mantis (Common, but pretty powerful)
Kishok (You will need some pratice, but is the most powerful gun in the game in terms of one shot damage)
Krysae (I know, but actually with all amps, it is not bad on an infiltrator)
Those 3 and you will earn sniper rifle medals on the way. Else, I recommend using the Collector sniper rifle.

Personally, I did the collector sniper rifle and raptor challenge after I got the sniper banner, but scoring 200k points with raptor took 2 matches and 3 more waves (all team games on gold, no solo), so raptor is also an option. The only one I won't recommend is the crappy incisor.

If you are on Xbox/PS3, just pretend you are a "pro" quick scoper in COD.

Basically just get your hip fire as close as possible to your target, then zoom-shoot as one fluid motion. Pop shot.

The ADS aim correction will almost always pull onto your target. Once in a while, it will pull far away from what you were pointing at, but ignore it and shoot anyway. Because 70% of the time when that happens, it still pulls onto a target, just not the one you were originally pointing at.

unfortunately the sticky aim is so high that actually "aiming" is like trudging your reticle through mud.

One advice: solo silver (2 1/2 games per weapon), even solo bronze.
don't have to finish, just kill as many as possible.

someone recommended using sabotage - cannot confirm myself it counts as weapon damage.

I've completed SMG & Pistol Mastery twice each, but have yet to earn Sniper Mastery - not terribly fond of scopes.

Whenever I had trouble using a sniper rifle on my SI, I would just use the Destroyer. They're good with all weapons. Extended mag and tank build, when the enemy refused to die I'd clear the space around me with frag grenades and then start over.

Basic, but effective. The biggest thing was to resist the temptation to get out the second weapon and finish the job - a Carnflex is better than most of those rifles.

I forced myself to only take my sniper rifle with me (no secondary weapon).
