Hopefully a mod deletes this topic, stupid cheaters dont need to come here. I also hope that anyone who unlocked achievements this way gets there profiles deleted or a permanent brand saying "cheater"

Depending on how you look at it using the in-game console for your mods you are working on gives you access to additional information in real time.

They've tended to sticky console threads rather than deleting them, so something tells me they're not going to overreact here, either.

Besides, why are you so offended that someone may choose to cheat in a single-player game?  It's not like it affects you in any way, shape, or form, other than to let modders have access to more info and playtesting ability, which in turn allows for better player-made content.

Could I use the runscript chargen to restart my character with the same appearance, or does it go back to the presets?

Hey K3m0sabe.

Have you attempted to locate the "power of blood" talents obtainable in the DLC?

They dont seem to be located in the 2da_constants scripts that I have been looking through.

EDIT - I found the rogue ones.  They wont show up in your book, but i verified that it does indeed give them to you.  Stealth runspeed is increased with Dark Passage, and The Tainted Blade icon is dropped onto your quickbar after adding the talents.

Power of Blood - Rogue

Dark Passage - 310030
The Tainted Blade - 310031

that you see console commands as cheat-only shows your ignorance and bias.  i would have loved to have had control-J immediately available when BG first came out.

Yup.  I found the crater, met the parents, and took the meteor to the appropriate blacksmith.

asked in another thread...is there ANY sort of "additem" script for the console? If so, what are the item codes?



Would be nice while testing mods to be able to give a character some health/lyrium potions (for example) without having to use the toolset.

I just tried using the "runscript zz_addparty" with Dog as the extra added party member, and for the most part it works as it should, there's just a few things just doesn't work.



First of all Dog's abilities are locked with a red text saying "Only main character is active while in camp" so I can't use any of his abilities, but he still uses them himself.



Second, i tried the same thing with alistair, and during the conversation with Sten in the cage, where Alistair has an interjection about him joining, there was no interjection only a pause where Alistair's word should have been.

I'm wondering, is it not possible to add approval to the secret companion, or is it just so that it hasn't been figured out yet? I don't want to randomly enter numbers, haha.

For those who use the runscript cheat to add party members, add approval, etc and havnt discovered it yet.. #2 is the Dog and #4 is Wynn..



1 - Alistair

2 - Dog

3 - Morrigan

4 - Wynn

5 - Shale

6 - Sten

7 - Zevran

9 - Eiliana



And I think #8 is Loghain (i havnt gotten him in my party yet so dont know for sure)

Yeah, I would figure that there'd be some sort of additem command, that probably uses the resource name or whatever that's in the toolset.

I have a question please, you have to put a space between the ....exe" part and the -enabledevelopersconsole part don't you? Because that's what I did and its not working. I've even changed the settings in the keybinding file and nothing is happening. (when I type characters just brings up the character page or moves - I don't get a frozen page where I can actually type anything. I'm sure I'm doing it wrong so I would appreciate any help.

Starting the console input does not work for me. Guess the problem is with the German keyboad layout. The ~ key doen't work. Is there maybe another key I have tp press on a German type kyboard that works or is there a way to redefine that key?

Big thanks for this one K3m0sabe, I was looking for the numbered feat list so I could swap out all Wynn's useless combat tactics slots for herbalism.

And yes, I can confirm that I have managed to obtain achievements after using the developer console both to change Wynn's skills and to give myself some gold to buy recipes (hate how a basic recipe costs more than a decent suit of armor :/).
I know I at least got the killing the high dragon achievement after using these cheats.

And what the gamefaq post says about having to bind a key to developer console is incorrect.
As with pretty much every other game I've played the developer console is bound to the tilde (~) key by default which is above tab on most keyboards.

Hi Michinima, I took this one from gamefaqs, I guess there can be a reason to rebind the key after all haha

"go into the keybindings.ini file located in "My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings\\" Find the line "OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_X" (GRAVE is default, change X to any button that is not already used in the game.)"

F8 worked for me but since I found out tilde works anyway I just use that.

Okay, I got the console open, and those letters and numbers appeared on top of the screen, but then nothing. I can't get a single command to work. Would've just wanted to add some money. Oh well, I guess it is time to stop roleplaying and go and sell all the extra stuff I've been dragging around in my backbag a long time. ;)
