Feneckus: That first video where you killed the Phantom in CQC... that's what the HML is for when using the PPR. The second video... you make a good point. PPR can't do that...

i'm a PPR fan i consider it an I WIN button. i like the typhoon too and i use it from time to time. but IMO PPR does a better job because of it's accuracy and unlimited ammo. it's just more convenient to use as you do not need to tap on ammo boxes anymore. you can focus on those headshots. based on my observations too i noticed i kill more stuff with PPR than the typhoon because it's harder to hit enemies at range with the typhoon unlike the PPR. ps3 player here.

I used to have to put a stability mod or consumable on at a level IV Typhoon because it was already kicking side to side constantly before the bug got fixed.
And those saying using consumables is dumb, why wouldn't you? If you are playing on a regular basis at all you will have tons of 1s and 2s, and many 3s and 4s as you keep building up your manifest.

The bug was that the recoil increased with level.

All I know is that I had to pump out 50 shots to take down a Marauder on Silver with it at Level II. At medium range, so a couple of those shots were probably misses, but you get my point.
Meanwhile, I can instead just take a Hurricane and basically do the same thing, much faster, and at only a somewhat closer range.

You're right about the Phantom, though I thought this was about the Typhoon being a boss killer. In that respect, the PPR is superior, especially on the Destroyer. Try using the PPR, and when it runs low on ammo, turn Devastator mode off, then back on. Takes just a bit longer than that Typhoon reload, but if you've got soft cover, that's no problem.
That's why I use Hawk Missiles. They always cause some action from Phantoms.
Personally, I think these weapons are even depending on set up. I choose the PPR since I don't need to run to ammo boxes often and I can always pull out my Hurricane/CSMG while I wait for the recharge.

Well, I still have not understood exactly where the spot is, so I guess I wouldn't be hitting it off host either

i thought we were discussing the typhoon here based on the video the op posted.
since there is variation of host and on host , best way to test something would be on host right?

Hadn't thought about that.
But it proves Typhoon > PPR IMO. I can play with power classes without having them curse at me because I made a phantom/banshee/praetorian use their bubble. And you have to sacrifice points somewhere to invest into HML.

It was sabotage. And she lifted her hand because of the geth turret that was nearby. The damage was negligible. I got 2043 points for those two Banshees in an unknown/reapers game so you can figure out how little damage my teammates did. I tried to get a perfect 1 vs 1 but I couldn't, there was always another teammate doing significant damage or I had to stop shooting for x reason.
And in every other sequence I'm on my own ..
