A Typhoon will kill mooks just as fast as the Saber, and bosses it will kill much much much much faster.
I've been testing both weapons on Turian Soldier and i get better results against mooks with Saber, against bosses yes, Typhoon has the advantage but Saber isn't bad either, not to be considered the worse UR when is actually really good.
Typhoon has the advantages of native penetration, ammo, etc.
But saber respond much much better of host, when you get some lag Typhoon is pure garbage, some time ago it took me half mag to take down a husk.
Also Saber is stupidly good with marksman when the player knows how to aim properly.
I'd say both are great weapons, but of course, it's much easier to exploit all the advantages of Typhoon than saber's.

If I was using the Hurricane my score would be upwards of 200k and the time would've been 3 minutes faster.

I bet you were using the GI. And probably level 3 and 4 amps too, tssk tsssk Sirian I expect more from an elite player like you.
You should be scoring 200k with a Shuriken on a level 1 Volus to prove its might.

You're right they're not. The first one was of 4 Destroyers beating Gold with 4 Typhoons. The 2nd is of 4 GI Joe's beating Platinum with 4 Avengers lol
