Eh, that wasn't a completely fair comparison to be honest since Feneckus was using Incendiary ammo on the PPR and he almost killed the Atlas before even letting the Incendiary DOT kick in. Should've been using AP ammo to really showcase how fast it could kill the Atlas, or stop shooting earlier so that the DOT could've done all of its damage.
On topic, I've said it before on other threads, Brophoon is awesomesauce and anyone that says it sucks is a moron. However I still support a small buff so that it can be undisputedly better at boss killing than both the PPR and the Hurricane.

A) Incendiary DOT is always ticking. Stopping shooting won't make the DOT any better. Each time you shoot, you simply add to the ticks. E.g., it starts at 1, you shoot again, it hits 2, shoot again, it hits 3. This whole time, the Incendiary DOT is hitting the enemy, the amount just increases every time you hit it. Then, when you stop shooting, it will continue to tick at whatever you left it at for 3 seconds.
For example, If you fire 5 times, the DOT ticks would be something like:
1 2 3 4 5 5 5 5 5 5 (DOT ticks every half second, so 6 ticks)
If you fire 10 times, it will look like this:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 10 10 10 10 10
So you don't do any extra damage by stopping shooting, you just conserve ammo.

On Topic: The PPR and Typhoon similar mag sizes and both consume 2 ammo per shot on ramp. Unmodified DPS numbers ramped up are 1376 for the PPR and 1249 for the Typhoon(on protections). The Typhoon ramps up in 2 stages, damage up at .75 s and RoF up at 1.5 s. The PPR is simple, with a damage up at 2 s. PPR also has much better accuracy, but is punished by its lack of ammo. It takes much longer (~4.3 seconds) to recharge, and even using a thermal clip pack will only decrease this time by 1 second.
Overall, the PPR is a bit better imo. But the Typhoon really isn't too far behind, and is better in desperate situations or with free reloads, since you can thermal clip or AR/Marksman it.
