No, because there is a reason consoles will only give you 30fps. It's called processing power. Which might have something to do with how accurate the AI can be. Just a wild guess.

This comment shows that you have no idea what you are talking about. Playing at such low framerates is a huge handicap. It's disgusting, really.

Only true if the HOST deliberately hogs up all his processing power (very hard to do, and very noticeable when playing or in a video). If a client throttles his processing power so he's running @ 20 FPS the only thing he'll hurt is his own performance

And Feneckus is always a client and never a host. So cut the thinly veiled accusations out, they're boring.

I actually love using the Typhoon with my Turian Sentinel.

I specced my sentinel for weapon dmg and stability. Then i maxed out his tech armor for resistance and give him 4 ranks of hp/shields. I splitted the remaining points into Overload and Warp, specced for single target dmg.

So depending of what kind of boss i attack, i open with either overload or warp and then unload my clip on them. Everything else which is not a boss is long dead before i empty a clip.

It is only a Typhoon 2 mind you and i gear it with the xtra rounds and the -90% Armor item. It works great.

Eh, that wasn't a completely fair comparison to be honest since Feneckus was using Incendiary ammo on the PPR and he almost killed the Atlas before even letting the Incendiary DOT kick in. Should've been using AP ammo to really showcase how fast it could kill the Atlas, or stop shooting earlier so that the DOT could've done all of its damage.

On topic, I've said it before on other threads, Brophoon is awesomesauce and anyone that says it sucks is a moron. However I still support a small buff so that it can be undisputedly better at boss killing than both the PPR and the Hurricane.

Yay Destroyer with AP round IV and mad skills. No weapon is bad lol. To be honest I can kill an Atlas faster than that with a Raider/Harrier/Reegar/CSR/Claymore/Javelin/BW

The Typhoon still kicks ass, but I do agree it needs a buff considering the PPR at the same level provides better damage, perfect accuracy, and infinite ammo for less weight.

*edit* was reading through the thread... how did this become a console vs. PC argument? :blink:

This. The Typhoon is the third best AR, but there is no reason to choose it over the PPR, which is the second best.

DM all bottom full waepon passives with hs damage.
AP4 , AR gear V , AR amp 3 and stability 3

A) Incendiary DOT is always ticking.  Stopping shooting won't make the DOT any better.  Each time you shoot, you simply add to the ticks.  E.g., it starts at 1, you shoot again, it hits 2, shoot again, it hits 3.  This whole time, the Incendiary DOT is hitting the enemy, the amount just increases every time you hit it.  Then, when you stop shooting, it will continue to tick at whatever you left it at for 3 seconds.

For example, If you fire 5 times, the DOT ticks would be something like:
1 2 3 4 5 5 5 5 5 5 (DOT ticks every half second, so 6 ticks)

If you fire 10 times, it will look like this:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 

So you don't do any extra damage by stopping shooting, you just conserve ammo.

B) On Topic:  The PPR and Typhoon similar mag sizes and both consume 2 ammo per shot on ramp.  Unmodified DPS numbers ramped up are 1376 for the PPR and 1249 for the Typhoon(on protections).  The Typhoon ramps up in 2 stages, damage up at .75 s and RoF up at 1.5 s.  The PPR is simple, with a damage up at 2 s.  PPR also has much better accuracy, but is punished by its lack of ammo.  It takes much longer (~4.3 seconds) to recharge, and even using a thermal clip pack will only decrease this time by 1 second.

Overall, the PPR is a bit better imo.  But the Typhoon really isn't too far behind, and is better in desperate situations or with free reloads, since you can thermal clip or AR/Marksman it.

Hmm, that I didn't know, although I do recall Peddroelmz saying you needed to stop shooting for it to work. He actually posted in that original thread from Feneckus to call him out on that.

Peddro noted that the Incendiary Ammo power stacks while you shoot and the DoT starts ticking when you stop shooting.  Is that incorrect now?

Ok, looked back. On his incendiary tests, the DOT tick still happens while increasing. I'm fairly confident my interpretation is correct, unless there is some other complication I'm unaware of.

Unless the man himself contradicts me, I'd say I think my interpretation is correct.
