It's been a year I think for me. I was just thinking about it the other day but every time I think about having to play through The Fade for a third time it never happens lol. I might pick it up again tomorrow~

On PC, Skip the fade ™, then. Lost count how many times I've had to post this response in this very thread.

I haven't played since 3 years or so but I want to do a new playthrough for DA:I
so is it playable (graphics ...)? I know it's a bit old

No, it is not playable at all OP. What on earth made you even think it a possibility? It was released..what, 4 years ago. You know better than that, come on. Of course your eyes would literally start to bleed blood if you as much as saw a youtube video featuring DA:O. No matter it makes an excellent, atmospheric RPG in very fleshed out and well written world, it is OLD now and as such,  can not be played at all. Heheh..can you imagine playing games designed for hardware FOUR YEARS OLD.. tis like some joke. This is why  people stopped playing Xbox360 or PS3 games around 2008. It is actually illegal in three or four USA states  to play or own a multi platform console game released  on december 31st 2008 or on a date preluding this.

Just did a complete replay for my main warden through origins, awakenings and witch hunt! I recently got all the DLC (I never had the chance to play them before) and after that I plan to replay through as my main Hawke with the new import!

In short. I have it on pause right now as I'm making this post!

Juan-Luc?  Is that like Obi-Juan Kenobi?  Juan Valdez?  Image IPB

It's not a typo because the "e" and the "u" keys are miles apart.

Yes, I play DA:Origins every 6-8 months or so. Game is fantastic and has massive replayability.

DA2, on the other hand, I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole ever again.

I do on occasion load up another game and play through again....ive gone through the game a good 6 times now, once for each origin and there is still a few things i want to do.

Royal dwarf who sides with harramont is one, a male one....because i know you can get a kid. I also want to play a male city elf who lets MaleHawke rape his cousin then spend the rest of the game roleplaying a regretful sole who does nothing but good for the rest of the game.

A gutter dwaf and elven mage who lives at the end too, since i took the ultimate sacrifice them them

As many others I still play DAO and DA2 from time to time. I am actually in the process of recreating my personal cannon playthrough to have it ready for DA:I when the time comes.

I do have some problems though, as I have noticed several bugs in the import into DA2; maybe some of you guys can help answer these questions:

1) In DAO Awakening I chose to save Amaranthine with a fully upgraded Vigils Keep meaning both survived (stated in the epilogue). However in DA2 if I check the world state I notice that Vigils Keep is set as not saved leading, this makes sense since the flag is set as FALSE in the import file. Question is shouldn't both be set as TRUE meaning saved?

2) In DAO I chose to romance and sleep with Leliana. This is set correctly in the import file of DA2, but the world state says that I romanced Leliana, but didn't sleep with her (probably has zero impact on the plot for DA2, but potential error for DA3 maybe?)

3) In DAO Awakening I left Anders at Vigils Keep, where he according to the epilogue survived and killed a bunch of darkspawn. In the import file of DA2 he died at Vigils Keep (not a big deal as that is possible to change, so the world state recognizes him being alive)

4) In DAO Awakening I chose to protect both the farms and trade routes. The import file in DA2 has this set as neither was protected, does anyone know if this is actually the correct setting? I am not sure since the epilogue of Awakening doesn't touch on that subject.

There are other small things where I have had to change the TRUE/FALSE setting in DA2 import file to reflect the corrcet choices made in DAO and DAO Awakening, however none of these has any impact on DA2 quests though they might have in DA:I. E.g. DA2 actually deletes the "Morrigan Left" option if you picked that in Witch Hunt, so you have to recreate that yourself or the game believes that Witch Hunt hasn't been played at all.

Still pay DA:O + Awakenings every now and then. Having the game mod-friendly has really extended its replayability.
I have no intention of ever touching that steaming pile of crap that was DA2 again.

I pull DA:O out once in awhile and play it. I've only had two complete playthroughs and lots of aborted ones where I just couldn't connect with my Warden. I've tried all of the Origins at least once, even if I didn't finish the game out with them.

I had a DC male 2H warrior beat the game and an Amell female mage beat the game. I'm currently playing several more and have a Cousland male DW rogue about to head to the Dalish and then the Landsmeet and a DN male DW warrior heading for Redcliffe after BC. I'll be firing this one up in a bit after this post.

I also have a female CE waiting in the Alienage to begin her adventure and a Dalish female about to go back into the ruins to look for Tamlen. I want to finish the previous two before taking them through.

So, yes, I like to play Origins even if I don't finish my playthroughs, it's fun and something to do while I'm sitting at my daughter's house babysitting.

And, I might be one of the minority, but I also find DAII to be fun and I'm currently running a male Hawke mage through 2 so that I have something to switch to when I get tired of Origins. I plan to have at least one good file to import to Inquisition by the time I'm able to afford it.

Oh, and I have very few mods on the game, I used the fix to get the Ancient Elven Boots from Lothering and that's about it. Maybe one day I'll rummage through the mods and try some out, but replaying without mods is okay with me since I prefer story and entertainment over graphics.

The only time Origins crashes is sometimes around the Lothering Chantry, going inside for the first time, and I've learned to save just before that so that I don't lose anything.

I do play it every now and then just to refresh my memory of certain events and in some cases just do some choices differently and see what happens in DA2 and who knows maybe have a tiny reaction in DA:I

I just discover it ten days ago...
Love it story lines and + 1000 to Morrigan
the others are good characters too specially Shale and Oghren.
I start awakening today. got DA 2 but will not play it finally. Never read a game with such bad comments ever specially knowing how excellent the first is still is.

Hadn't DA:O played for a few months (have at least a dozen full runs through to Witch Hunt with different characters, plus another dozen that only got part of the way (GoA is the one I like the least!)
Was doing my first Male Hawke run through DA2, and just couldn't take the voice. :P

So switched back to a canon FemHawke, got bored, (which is waaaaay too easy to do in DA2) and started DA:O with a new character (decided to go for that last Mage achievement badge.)

Having a blast!  Realized that it's the Party Banter that really stands out.  With so many different combinations, even the best-known situations can offer surprises.  DA:O wins the re-playability of the century award!

Give it a try.  Its not a bad game.  Its not as great as DA:O, but its certainly enjoyable in its own right.  Most of the venom you see about it rises from a number of legitimate flaws inflated drastically by the furor of fans expecting DA:O2.

Finished a replay of my main Warden a few weeks ago and imported into DA2, which I am now playing with my main Hawke. It had been about a year since I'd played any DA (I've been playing ME mainly in that time), so it's been wonderful playing through it all again. :D (Yes, I'm one of those weirdos who likes DA2. ;))

I have two games going right now. A mage and a human noble.

I sort have neglected those as most of my wardens were dalish or dwarves. Image IPB

I actually recently deleted all my DA characters and are replaying them just because I can. I love the DA games so I tend to go back to them a lot. Victor, my DA:O mage I've probably replayed him 15+ times. >_>

No idea, though I've never played them in that order.  Their meant to be played in the opposite order, so maybe you literally can't play them in that order.

I can.  Golems comes first in the story line.  Witch Hunt is the very last chapter in the story.

You asked if anyone could tell you why - that's the reason.  I did not make that rule so please don't shoot the messenger.
