I haven't played since 3 years or so but I want to do a new playthrough for DA:I
so is it playable (graphics ...)? I know it's a bit old

I just finished replaying the whole DA1, all DLCs and DA2.

DAO is still a great game and the graphics are fine.  Imho, it is a better overall product than DA2.  But DA2 had a few things better than DAO.

All the way through? No. I mess around with mods still sometimes.

I've been out of it for some time now, but expect to return later to the two play throughs I still have going (a human female mage and a male dwarven commoner). Those two would be finished game number 7 and 8 when I do.

I'm in the middle of a f!Aeducan playthrough. So yes, I still play DA:O. It's a great game and the graphics really aren't that bad. Mods help of course if you have access to them, but even vanilla is great. I'll probably play through it and DA2 a few times before Inquisition comes out.

I finished another playthrough a few month ago. Still love it and I think the graphics are fine. I see no reason why it should prevent you from playing

I recently bought the Ultimate Edition in a Steam sale, since our original DLC codes had stopped working and it was cheap. I played a new Surana game and went back to finish my female Aeducan, whose game I never had completed, which was a crying shame.  Certainly it's still playable.

I went back this weekend to play The Darkspawn Chronicles. Surprisingly fun, except for that one fight with Sten.

Still, I never did another playthrough after my first.

I play it quite often. In fact I'm in the middle of it RIGHT NOW. Just got 3 treaties done and got the dragonscale armor+Evon the great brokenly-strong set bonus on Allistair and have been wearing Calian's armor for the last bit (did RtO before sacred Ashes). Dwarven noble, female, Allistair as LI. Going to get Shale next and drag her to the Dalish and Deep Roads quest. The party is so powerful that I solo'd Flemeth on hard mode and killed the real high dragon with only a few party deaths on nightmare and used the environment to glitch and revive the party whenever everyone but me was killed (my character never went down though, I kept her out of the fight and waited until it was weak to finish it myself... No one else gets a high dragon kill in their accomplishment list except for me, period).

All in all, it's been fun. I've not been as dedicated as usual though. I've racked up 60 hours already, but most of that was the game being paused and left sitting for hours at a time. I've only actually played 20 of those 60. Not sure why, I have fun when I'm playing so I don't know why I'm leaving the game running while I go do other thing. Oh well, I'm getting the game done.

EDIT: I see reading the thread now that at leat 2 other people are doing a female dwarven noble run. That's kind of a funny coincidence. 3 people now with me adding my voice to the thread. Is a female DN just one of the most popular choices or something?

I'm in the middle of it right now, but it's my first complete playthrough for about 18 months.

I don't play it as much as I did but it's still one my favourite games of all time, so for me it's timeless.

For me, Dragon Age Origns is one of Bioware's best games.

I have also just finished a playthrough and still really enjoy playing the game.

So, yes Dragon Age Origns is very much still worth playing.

Finished my 3rd playthrough just 2 weeks ago. Considering all MEs and all DAs, in my opinion DA:O is the best Bioware game of the last 6 years. And that comes from a Mass Effect fan who generally favors science-fiction over fantasy.

I am on my 5th playthrough since it's release in '09...It's not a game I can say I ever get bored of playing, 'cause it feels like a new experience every time. I never had any problems with DA:O

Yes, I love the story. The combat is a bit... weird, but still it is an awesome game. Although it is a bit shame that the Warden is voiceless

Working my way through my second playthrough. First time I was an elf mage, this time a Cousland warrior archer. Warrior archers, by the way, are pretty interesting. It's hard to power game with them but their flexibility means you can snipe, machine gun, or off-tank effectively depending on the situation. This run is designed to be my "canon" game, and after I'm done I'll do all the other DLC, import into DA2, and finish that again as my canon playthrough. Then I'll wait until DA:I comes out.

graphics are fine m8, ive really really really tried recently to play it but combat stops me most times.

I played it last month, the Darkspawn chronicles.

I play DA Awakenings a lot more because it is shorter.

I love DAO but it is way too long to do a full playthrough,  I play it about once a month for a bit:  I usually get one of the origin games i abandoned (i.e. dwarf commoner) and go a little further, then abandon it again, then play a little further next time.. All in all I only have finished the game 3 times, human noble sacrifice, human noble marry Alistair and human noble side with Loghain (ugh that was a painful one, poor Ali-bear was so mad at me!  )

I play DA2 a lot more often since combat is not as bad and the companion banter is so unpredictable. I have yet to uncover all dialog options ! :D

All the time. It still feels like a fairly different game with every character I make, although I tend to always go back to that dual-wielding female Dalish rogue that I started with...

Just finished a DA2 playthrough (3rd complete playthrough, I think? Maybe fourth), and have started another DAO run, which I think will be my 6th time. Dragon Age is my favorite series ever, followed by the Mass Effect series.

Yes, yes I do! And I love the graphics still.

I just finished a Dalish rogue complete walkthrough a couple of weeks ago.

I finished two play-through's recently, and I plan on doing three more! I'm planning for DA3, I want as much variety as possible. I love the game very much, it just takes a long time to get through.
