I don't see why BW can't lend a few extra resources to put an option in the game... where if you press a button... you skip the intro. Is it really that hard? If it is, let me know. It's still sucks having to start a new game of ME2.
Will there ever patch to skip the intro?

The trouble is there's dialogue in the intro that, if memory serves, can reward the player with morality points. In hindsight it was a mistake to put it there as having to sit through all that is a pain in the arse for players who already know it all and don't need the tutorial aspects of the intro, but my guess is that the issue will never ever be addressed. Personally I start the game and go make myself a tea or coffee and maybe pay a few bills or something boringly domestic, come back after a few minutes to talk to Joker and whoever, then carry on with what I was doing for another five minutes before going back to the game proper. I'd be fine with the unskippable intro if after a certain amount of time conversations would auto-respond with a neutral answer or something so we could start the game and then go do something else and come back to find Shepard waiting in the lab on Lazarus Station.
