my bonus power is flare, Fitness, tactical cloak and incernate is fully upgraded

Right now I'm rocking the Krysaie Sniper V, Vidicator assualt rifle V, Blood Pack SMG V, and Carnifax V.

Blood Pack armor. With light weight materials I still Get a + 17 % weight capacity.

But I'm looking to mix it up. Thanks.

I thought the Widow/Black Widow would be the best options..

Ask Capn233 or Red Ceasar.

They're the stats experts when it comes to Mass Effect.

I'm only using my Black Widow on insanity. Don't need other weapons :)

The Widows are really heavy and are acquired late in the game. The semi-auto one is cool, but so expensive. Plus I like having at least and SMG and a hand-cannon and/or Assault rifle. I guess I could try and get the Black Widow- I've used it before in my First Play through on Hardcore, I liked it. But damn is it expensive. I wish they could make it easier to get, Cause I do love the widows. But M98B is singe shot, and the Mantis or Javelin is lighter and with damage mods, way more powerful. So I don't that's the answer.

But thanks for you help.

Eh?

The Javelin and the Widow have the same weight range in singleplayer. The Javelin does less damage in exchange for a thermal scope and more cover penetration. The Widow doesn't have a firing delay. If you're comparing both in singleplayer, the Widow is superior.

You have 3 options in SP, Krysae, Black Widow, and Valiant (collector edition only).

Krysae is pretty ridiculous and destroys bosses, you can fire two shots by zooming in and double tapping. Black Widow is probably the best overall. Valiant is a very good easier to use alternative to BW if you have the option.

Why the hell bother with a Assault Rifle though, especially something as weak as that? Pistol too, you already have a sniper so there isn't much point to using a pistol.

And in single player, you only need one weapon, maybe two weapons maximum. So find one or two guns you like and build around them, or use weapons built around your powers. Or maybe just use your powers. Whatever works for you.

You can actually get the Black Widow fairly early in the game, especially if you have the From Ashes DLC. Just do not buy anything else from the store and scan every system for resources as soon as you can. With the From Ashes DLC, you can research a +5% discount from all stores which can help (I forget what the alternative bonus is, I think it is only a 5% Power Recharge). You should be able to get it a few missions in.

Depending on what other DLC you have, you should be able to acquire the Indra sniper rifle, which a sniper rifle masquerading as a sniper rifle. You can also get the Raptor sniper rifle on Sur'kesh, which is a like a Mattock with a built-in scope. I am not sure on the actual DPS numbers for those two weapons, but they should have better DPS than the Viper and likely the Mantis as well.

Black Widow is easily the best sniper rifle for an Infiltrator in SP, at least on high difficulty due to shieldgate.

Valiant is pretty close. If you are on PC you can easily unlock it via Gibbed save editor (all the "promotional" and Collector's Edition weapons are on the game disk, they are just not awarded if you have a standard version...).

Alternatively, the Paladin can be turned into a pseudo-sniper as well, although you don't get the massive sniper rifle damage bonus.

It is possible to get the Black Widow around the time of the Sur'Kesh mission if you are careful with your credits, and do as many fetch quests as possible. You will need to practically not spend any credits on anything early though.

As far as mechanics experts go, peddroelmz and corlist are probably the two most knowledgeable in that regard. Cyonan as well, actually :)

Thanks, just finished liberating the citadel from Cerberus and I almost have 200,000 credits. Probably do another N7 mission and then I'll be there. I spent a buch of money on upgades, the blood dragon armor and medigel so I kinda screwed up there, but hopefully I can get the Black Widow before the Geth conflict is fully resolved. Then use it for Omega, the new DLC comming and the rest of the game. Thanks again for all the info.
