Greetings everyone. I plan on writing a fanfiction regarding my Renegade FemShep, and I've got a great amount of detail decided on. I plan on beginning the story when the colony of Mindoir is raided by Batarian slavers and thus her start of darkness, as she is a survivor from the incident. Her early Alliance years will not be an issue, but some time after she zerg rushes the Batarians on Torfan with her squad, she becomes more involved in intragalactice politics and comes across Saren. This is where the dilemna arises.

I planned on starting a relationship between Shepard and Saren. Now, the first issue is Saren's racial views. He is publicly very disctriminatory towards humanity, and despite their similar personalities, this may become an obstacle in such a companionship. Regina (my Shepard) does have a thing for Turians, but she is still an ardent pro-human. If this issue is not too grand, then Saren shall still be admonished for his dating choices. The other issue is age. Shepard begins the relationship after Torfan, so she will obviously be an adult, but Saren was born in 2139 while she was born in 2154. Despite both being adults, would this be too wide of an age gap?

My main desire for this plot point is to see how it would flesh out. My Shepard would be even angrier over Saren's defection, as it becomes far more personal. Dialogue between the two will also change to accomodate this unique feature in the story. Although it will be a major plot device, the whole story will not revolve around this concept. If anyone has any advice, I'm very open.
