Less bugs. Especially when Zevran comes back. He's so buggy in both games.
On a more positive note, less reused dungeons and fresh romantic interests! Major cool points if I can roll a Qunari and then romance a dwarf. Extra points if that dwarf is Varric.
I also cannot wait to see what Liliana is up (I was *this* close to romancing her but when with Zevran instead.) and what Orlais is like.
What are you looking forward to most...

What i am looking forward to or hoping is that i can play a good game with a good story that makes sense and also able to relax in the game if i wish and not be forced from one excitement to another without rest. A little balance of excitement and relaxation is good in the game it lets you take a breath just like Shepard in destroy option.

What I am looking forward to (based on the tidbits of information given and past implementations):
1. Story
2. Characters
3. Cameos
4. Exploring
5. Party Banter
6. Customization
7. Fully-Voiced Protagonist (dialogue wheel needs work though...)
8. Playing a part in the Mage-Templar War
9. Playing a bigger part in the story
10. Background Origins
11. Music
13. Romance
14. Hybrid Fighting-Style of DA:O and DAII
15. Playing as a mage
16. Mentions of my Warden(s) and Hawke(s) and their actions
17. Consequences to my actions
18: Seeing Thedas and her inhabitants in all of their Frostbite 2 glory
What I'm hoping to see:
1. The Dalish playing a bigger role than previously
2. My Warden(s) and Hawke(s) making an appearance (cameo)
3. Playing as a Mage having consequences (such as using blood magic and no one commenting on it)
4. Mage clothing looking cooler (the only mage clothing I liked was the Champion version for the class...the mercenary clothing of Malcolm Hawke would have been on the list but those atrocious, bright white, knee guards hurt my eyes...)
5. One of the background origins being Elven-blooded, preferably the elf parent being Dalish

I'm looking forward to watching people's gameplay clips and reviews on YouTube so I don't end up with another DA2 or ME3.

Drama on the boards if certain factions get completely screwed over in the game.

The option to kill every mage I come across.
DA2 set this game up (so we're led to believe) as a conflict between mages and the Chantry. Mages have gone rogue, and so I want the option to exterminate them.
You are a very, very bad person.

The ability to break my character. Which seems a bit psychotic but in Origins I, through my own control and choices, was able to progressively turn my Amell mage more and more morally grey till she was essentially heartless and evil... loved it.
In DA2 the game broke Hawke for me, I felt a little cheated to tell you the truth...
Being a little more on track however... the scenery, I want to see Frostbite 2 in action, the plot, the new lore the devs will introduce for us to wildly speculate over, and, hopefully, more dwarves. The Hobbit has given me an obsession with dwarves and I would like to see Inquisition add to that

1. ) Toolset. Not going to happen.
2. ) Pen n Paper based RPG or D & D based RPG. Not going to happen.
3. ) Non Linear, Player choice-consequences driven story. Not going to happen.
4. ) Non quest centric companions and dialogues. Fully interactive expository dialogues anytime and anywhere outside combat and missions. Not going to happen.
The only thing left to look forward is Player agency and character agency. Even in this area, I have little faith in DA 3, judging the linearity of past BioWare's stories.
Will have to wait for reviews on the game's ending(s), replayability value and how much players affect the story first, before making any decision whether to buy DA 3 or avoid future BioWare's games permanently.

Getting back into playing as a mage. A mage Hawke never felt right to me for both combat and story reasons, so I'm hoping things are more like DA:O in that respect. And if not, I'm hoping Templar is as awesome as it was in DA2, and not lame like DA:O. So the short answer is "how the classes are handled."
That and the new followers.... Bioware always comes up with great followers, even if I don't like a couple here and there.
