Hi. I've downloaded the Advanced Tactics, Advanced Quickbar and Advanced Party and mods, and I can only get the last one to work. Tried them in a clean install of the game so it's not a compatibility issue with other mods.

I've asked on the Nexus and I was told that my version of the game (Steam's Ultimate version, latest patch) could be the cause, but nobody has come up with a solution so far. I successfully used Advanced Tactics in a normal, non Steam version of the game ages ago, but I'm stuck with the Ultimate one now. For the record, every other mod I've tried has worked fine, so I have my doubts about my version being the cause.

These are the mods I'm talking about:

Advanced Party (this one works for me, for some reason): http://dragonage.nex...ds.com/mods/598

Advanced Tactics: http://dragonage.nex...ds.com/mods/181

Advanced Quickbar: http://dragonage.nex...ds.com/mods/706

Any help would be appreciated. Alternatively, is there any similar mod out there (I'm mostly interested in tactics)?

They're .dazip files, so I used the updater. They're shown as installed and activated in game, but that's it; no extra tactics or anything.

Tried this too...

Try renaming the C:\\Users\\[your user name]\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\advancedtactics\\mod\\data and \\core\\data to \\mod\\override and \\core\\override.

... but no change.

What game version do you have, BTW?

But do you have the Ultimate version? I'm only asking because I was told it could be the cause; I personally don't see how that could affect mod compatibility.

Thanks, but no change, nor with this one.

... Anyone else?

Uninstall Advanced Party (u must use DAModder). Then try the other mods. If this fails, a game re-install may be in your future....

Already tried a reinstall (before opening this thread, actually). Nothing changed.

I tried that, just for the sake of it, but nothing changed, as expected. As I said, Advanced Party does work (at least in Origins; Leliana still has some assigned talents in Leliana's Song), but the others don't.

Whatever the problem is, it doesn't seem related to the installation, because I've tried everything (official updater, Mod Manager, Modder... even a full game reinstall), nor a compatibility issue with other mods.

hmm try this http://social.biowar...ussions#details
or http://social.biowar...736/blog/12959/
The DAOmodder will put the dazips into the right addin directory... ALL mods packaged as a ".dazip" goes into: "\\Users\\[username]\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\addins..." (same as the DLC.)

the overrides go into User\\[Username}\\My Documents\\Bioware\\Packages\\Core
override, not the "override" folder that's found under ",,,\\Program Files [x86]", right?
(if the override is not present, just create it)

I know the Steam version works with mods, or has in the past...

Well, I'll take a look just in case, but every other mod I've used has worked, so I don't think it's a problem of me not knowing how to properly install one.
