Ok, 3 pages and we already are getting console war posts here, I guess bragging rights about soloing platinum at higher FPS will come next. The reasons I didn't want to post it in the first place. Get your flameshields ready folks.

It's not platform wars.

It's the war between the educated and the ignorant.

FOR GREAT JUSTICE.

No it's a war between the stubborn and the stubborn. It's always been this way on BSN and things will never change.

Nah. We're arguing over black and white here. This is not a marginal issue, this is simply one party being wrong and refusing to accept it because people hate admitting that they're wrong.

Humans are stubborn by nature, but it doesn't excuse acting like a 5 year old when someone proves you wrong.

I'm sorry man, I tried to take the children away, but they're stubborn.

Because condescension is the definition of maturity.

Correct. And when Sirian admits it and correct his 5 year old behavior of name calling, we can all move along. I believe that people resort to this behavior when they are incorrect don't they?

Bluster all you like. If you keep voicing uninformed opinions at every turn, you have to expect to be called out from time to time.

You spend a lot of time on this forum telling everyone else that you are right and they are wrong, but not once do you ever present a coherent argument or any kind of empirical evidence as to why that is the case...

You're a child.

Keep saying you're right and stick your fingers in your ears and refuse to listen when people prove otherwise; immaturity at its best.

Do your shields regenerate if regenerated by an outside source? (like biotic charge?)

All the scrubs on that platform. As if it wasn't enough that they  need their 1337 haxxor edited completed manifest and ez mode point n click, but they also need to abuse low FPS AI.

Agreeing to disagree is usually done when an issue is subjective and more a matter of personal opinion than cold hard fact.

You do not agree to disagree on facts.

Yes. Krogard is a go!B)

Shield regen BUG only happens at very insane FPS however, have to overclock to get that far.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

BSN seems to think otherwise.

Right. So where are your facts? All Ive been called is an idiot and accused of blustering. I havent seen a single fact arise from you refuting me. When you do, Ill admit Im wrong and move along. Im not going to admit Im wrong simply because someone says I must be. End of story. If this is how England works, they should have used that on Germany in WWII.

Would someone like to explain to GallowsPole how ME3's P2P multiplayer system works? So that he can stop labouring under the delusion that people leeching his bandwidth will make him lag while hosting games?

I mean... anyone with a higher IQ than a block of cheese should be able to understand it right off the bat, but he doesn't seem to, and I can't be bothered explaining again.

Thanks Caratinoid. That's a nice bit of bedtime reading there.

I have noticed this phenomenon for some time. I have to remain covered a lot more than "lesser" team-mates (not meant in the sense of their skills but the char/build they are playing) can stay in the open a lot more. I've adjusted to it and I personally cannot abide games that run slowly or jerk about.

Have noticed that it seems to cause other ppl to die more with Dragoons, Phantoms and other faster moving enemies. Maybe they are used to playing on slower host or connection.

Send us an invite someday I wouldnt mind trying your system out, seeing what it is like.

I didn't find your hosting hard. It actually was a reprieve to play with a host that gives me less than 80 ms latency.

That was before the upgrade, I don't think I have played with you since I switched to 120, besides as I said skilled players will not notice it, especially if your latency is low, which should be really low since I'm not far from you (belgium).

Thanks for the info. I do have two questions in regards to this topic and hope to get some feedback.

Is the frame rate on the clients dependent on the host? I do notice my FPS varies from host to host, and occasionally I end up in a 20FPS game.

And is the enemy hitting rate dependent on the client FPS or the host FPS?

Thanks OP, nice to see an actual breakdown of the effects.

I never have the framerate monitor on, but I do have v-sync enabled which I believe locks it at 60fps. Note to all - I said I believe, not I know.

Good to know that my CPU/MoBo/RAM situation isn't going to amp the difficulty any further than my GPU already can. Still, I always remember that no one of my friends really enjoyed playing on my host, and it was because of enemy accuracy and not lag. Thus, I rarely if ever host.

Vsync locks the FPS at your monitor's refresh rate.

In ME3 the rate locked at 62FPS even if you have 120Hz refresh rate set in windows. You have to add 'MaxSmoothedFrameRate=120' to the 'GamerSettings.ini' to enable a 120Hz refresh rate.

No you can set any frame rate you want as client, if your pc can handle it, but there a system in place called frame rate smoothing (active by default) which will alter you frame rate depending on the processing power of your machine. So you can start a game at 30 FPS but then you'll get a map that needs more resources to render or look at a lot of enemies at once which can lock your frame rate at a lower value (22 FPS is the lowest it can set) and will stay there even if your computer can pump out more frames.
