I just re-installed the game from Steam after a reformat and logged into my profile, and now i can't see the DLC's I purchased or any of them for that matter. My other profile data has been downloaded, but i want to be able to download my DLC's. They don't show up on any list when i click on Downloadable Content in the Main Menu. Thoughts?
No available DLC's?

Did you save your My Documents\\\\Bioware\\\\Dragon Age folder before the reformat? If you backed up that folder you don't need to redownload.
Check that the Dragon Age Origins Content Updater Service got reinstalled correctly.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

I tried this method and it wouldn't Start on it's own, so i set it to Automatic and restarted my computer. It's still on Automatic but for some reason it won't actually Start, i get this error;
"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

You could try reinstalling the service. Its in section 3.2.4 of the DLC Troubleshooting FAQ.
Another option is to try out the beta fix to fix updater service problems http://social.biowar...81613/59#542935

I can't find the DA updater in the list of services. What do I do?

i had the exactly the same problem.
after starting DA updater the problem was solved.
note: some computers may block dragon age from starting the DA updater at the start of the game.(same thing occured wih me) this COULD be solved by starting the game as an administrator. (rightclick at the .exe, properties, compatibility, click the box 'execute program as an administrator')
