This episode was again so filled with epicness that it was about to burst. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

The "arena" fights were brutal and awesome at the same time. Gannicus fighting three Romans at once on the edge of the cliff... LOL, for a moment I thought they might pull a bastard move and let him fall off. But of course Gannicus wins.

Tiberius got to live for another moment, only to die by Kore's hand. Didn't see that coming; I didn't think she had the guts to do something like that. And now Crassus has his lover returned, who has actually taken the life of his son... But apparently his love has already dimmed. I did laugh when Crassus told Caesar to negotiate with the rebels to get Tiberius back. LOL, Caesar thought to be rid of the boy, only to have to return to the rebels. Poor guy, haha.

So Agron actually did get crucified, then returned to Sparty and the rest. Surprise!

The last scene, where Crixus - okay, Crixus' head - was burned was very powerful and emotional, with everybody calling the names of the ones they had lost under Roman heel. And now Spartacus has sworn to fight Rome as well. Live free or join or brothers in death... well, we know which it's going to be. :( I think Spartacus will die... Gannicus will probably live... I hope.

Edit: I just got 4th top of page in a row. xD

I liked the fact that Tiberius didn't get a noble death at the makeshift arena. It would have been way too good for him.

Another thing that impresses me is Caesar. Seriously, that guy seems to take a lot of crap from practically everyone around him. Just when he thinks Tiberius is gone for good, he has to go and save his ass. Its amazing that he has to deal with all the **** thrown at him. That just makes me like him even more.

Crixus definitely got the send off he deserved in this episode. I'm also starting to like caesar - at the start of the season up until the taking of the city by the romans he just seemed like a dick. Lately though he's becoming more of a badass.

Was anyone else reminded of Ashur when Caesar was sent to the rebels camp?

Good episode. Finally Tiberius dies in a deserved way I suppose. I did like Naevia here...a thing I am still somewhat surprised by but still there it is.

That has to be one of the best finales I have ever watched. Dammit, give us that Caesar spinoff Starz!

Also, your memory will live on, Spartacus...

Probably the best finale I have ever seen. Liam Macintyre gave an absolutely stunning performance. Giving the final words to Andy Whitfield (after the credits) was perfect.

Thus Spartacus ends, a great series and a fitting ending for it. Looking forward to that spinoff. I would have liked Ganicuss to survive but oh well we can't have it all.

Sad to see it end. But it did so very well. Now I feel like rewatching the whole series from the start...

In hindsight, I think there was bit of a fish out of water type of a thing going ever since the show left Ludus. Clumsy Machiavellian machinations of Lanistas trying to inch their way upwards from grassroots +  highly stylized candid comic combat on arena was a surprisingly beautiful and entertaining mix. This is the setting and red line entire show should have been all about. It all really turned into bit of a pompus clusterhump when the meatballs were exposed to wider world. Characters, writing staff or anything else were not geared up for the FREEDUUHMM business.   Romans of last season were great though. Save for Caesar.

Moral of the story: don't let your slaves escape, it only confuses the meatballs and makes them too bloated and pompous :(   Show began sucking when Crixus stopped with the mid combat mouth breathing.

One of the better Series finale's I've seen. And the best since The Shields epic finale. This was awesome. Spartacus was great. Liam was AMAZING in this episode. The final battle was so awesome. I knew everyone was going to die( Except aragorn and his lover, that was great those two got to survive tho), Every single moment of this finale was great. There was no wasted motion. Everything was sharp and had a purpose. my girlfriend was crying her eyes out when Ganicus was crucified. The emotions of this episode was amazing. But Liam stole the show, the finale battle and his final words were probably the best acting the show has seen since season 1, truly awesome. What a great show. I can't wait for it on blu-ray!!!

I'm not sure if the Caesar spinoff has even been confirmed yet. Still, I hope it happens. They left some threads hanging at the end of the finale, particularly the start of Crassus's relationship with Pompey.

Well I'm glad it is finally over. Instead of giving the rebels some unexpected victory and throwing another season out there, they ended this one beautifully. Definitely one of the best series finales I have seen. Amazing.

Now hopefully Doctor Who gears up for the 50th anniversary.

This. Couldn't help trying to picture what he would have been like in the final spartacus scene.

Glad they didn't do any miraculous victory and/or escape. It was a bleak but satisfying finale especially with the fates of Gannicus and the slaves who went north.

Such a wonderful finale. The final scene with Liam teared me up. I really hope they do a spin off. I will settle for anything done similar to this. It's going to be a little sad now that there will be no more Spartacus on Fridays anymore. :crying:

Nooo, it's over. Oh, but that was an amazing finale. Gannicus crucified... heartbreaking. I really felt sorry for Kore as well. Such a tragic end after what she has been through. And my respect for Liam. He is still no Andy Withfield, but his performance in the final scenes was excellent. I cried.
Unexpected that Agron and Nasir were the ones to survive. I really had bet on Gannicus... Still glad that at least they made through.

This show will be missed. :(

Agron is a survivor to the core. The amount of **** he's been through in the series is amazing.

Great finale, I enjoyed the Spartacus show despite it's over-the-top effects.
And the hot Roman chick survived, yay!

That was a bloody awesome finale, first season was very good and set the scene brilliantly, the mini prequel series was also very good, fleshed out the back story and introduced us to gannicus, then I thought it was all going wrong, Andy died (R.I.P) and his replacement pretty much for the entirety of Vengeance just didnt measure up.

Couldnt put my finger on why at the time, it just seemed like the on screen "presence" was missing and Liam couldnt fill the gap..... or maybe it just took a little while for me to adjust to the new actor or Liam just needed time to slot into the role, or maybe all of the above lol. Add that to the fact that the show didnt adjust very well to leaving the walls of house batiatus and I had a slight sinking feeling in my gut when going into war of the damned that it wasnt going to be very good.

I couldnt have been more wrong, from the first episode this season all the way through to the end its been brilliant and my misgivings about Liam in the lead role were completely swept away, especially so in the finale, fantastic acting all around and a very fitting end. Now if only the walking dead would just take note.......

I noticed that Naevia died the exact same way as he friend form Gods of the Arena, died. Almost as if she went full circle.

I'm apart of the minority that likes Vengeance and I thought that Liam played Spartacus well ever since it began. Really, the most exasperating actor change for me was Naevia's. I was shocked when I first saw her in Vengeance. I thought that Crixus and the others found the wrong woman.

LOL, that was my thought as well. When she turned around, I thought: that can't be Naevia. All that trouble for the wrong woman! And then Crixus acted like it was her and I was confused.

I'm with you on liking Vengeance as well. ^_^ I've never thought the show was starting to drag or anything like that. I was on the edge of my seat every episode. I have already pre-ordered the complete dvd collection, something I normally never bother with.

By the way, does anyone know what was the reason for the difference between Agron's crucifixion and the one of Gannicus/Kore? Agron was the only one who got the nails through his hands, whereas Gannicus got them through his lower arms, which is supposedly the "correct" way. I guess it was just because then Agron would no longer be able to hold a sword.

Haha yea I forgot to mention that, you can add that to my laundry list of minor problems i had with vengeance too lol.

Vengeance was by no means "bad", once it finnished I didnt feel as though my time had been wasted while watching it, it was enjoyable enough, but it did leave me feeling a little concerned for the next season. Thankfully though war of the damned put those concerns out the front door on their asses :P

Was truly gutted though with what happened to Gannacus, really did believe that he would be the one to escape the brutal death that we all knew was comming for most of the characters :-(...... hell I even managed to feel bad for Naevia who had managed to annoy me by turning into a complete ****, killing Gannacus's friend and sort of turning Crixus against Spartacus on occasion (all reasonably well explained changes in personality from the old Naevia but still annoying lol)

Lol, I did the same, went straight on amazon and was quite happy to see the complete blu ray set comming out at the end of this month.... pre ordered :P

Just watched the last episode it was awesome, loved how they ended it, also loved the credits and I loved that Andy Whitfield had the last words of the show.

I didn't enjoy Liam as Spartacus as much as Andy, in Vengeance, but this season Liam really grew into the Spartacus's character, I feel he played Spartacus as more of a leader rather than a Gladiator, while I loved Andy in the first season looking back I don't know if his Spartacus could have done that.

Also I'd love to see a Caesar spin off, it would be cool to see Caesar going from where he is at the end of Spartacus to becoming Dictator or at least his conquest of Gaul.
