By the way, does anyone know what was the reason for the difference between Agron's crucifixion and the one of Gannicus/Kore? Agron was the only one who got the nails through his hands, whereas Gannicus got them through his lower arms, which is supposedly the "correct" way. I guess it was just because then Agron would no longer be able to hold a sword.

I think they were trying to torture Agron, while they wanted to execute the others. Judging by how the stakes were pushed through Kore and Gannicus, they would have bled out and died more quickly than Agron.

Just watched the final episode... wow! I need some time to let this sink in, but some quick thoughts:

Great job, Liam! Taking over the role of Spartacus from Andy under these circumstances must have been pretty damn tough, but I think in this season at least he's proven to be quite a worthy successor.

To see Gannicus finally being overwhelmed by the Romans and to realize there really isn't much of a chance anymore he's going to make it out alive in the end was one of the saddest things... like, ever. I shed tears, I'm not gonna lie. I sooo wanted him to live...

Yay for Agron and Nasir both surviving, though!

Crassus... what a villain...!

Amazing end credits sequence, so good to see all those amazing characters again. Good to give the last word to Andy as well, only appropriate and deserved - respect!

I'm surprised people thought that Gannicus was going to survive, he's not a fictional character like Agron, there was no way that he was going to live.

One of the best series finales I have ever seen, Spartacus' death was so sad, too bad history never told us his real name. Now he can go and be with Sura.

The tribute to Andy was awesome.

"I AM SPARTACUS!"

RIP Andy

Well historically Gannicus died earlier in a separate battle alongside Castus. Since that didn't happen in the series there was a hope many had that he would survive.

Yeah, I think Liam rocked it this season as well. I really wish the best for these people in the future. And I would love to see more prominent roles from Simon Merrells, really astonished me from the beginning of this season.
Aside from what's already been mentioned by other posters, I really enjoyed how Lugo went out like a total BAMF.
