I might not be the only one, but although music works fine in my areas, if the PC enters combat it doesn't change the track to a combat track by default. I skimmed through the code in the single player data and couldn't find anything that makes combat music go on or off, just a line in area core that references music to start playing and that's it.

I have music volumes, music is set in the area with a enter and exit value too. Anyone knows what's missing to get some combat ambience?

I just noticed the same. This and getting a preset to work seems to be problematic.

Edit: I see there's a tutorial for the soundset now.

That seems to be to change the PC sounds.

How do you make the sound presets available in a standalone (not "singleplayer") module? How do you get the official music in a module at all?

Edit: Nevermind, it works now. I don't know why.

I got combat music working by adding a case trapping gamemode changes - if the gamemode changes to combat, I start combat music - if the gamemode is something else, I stop the combat music (I handle playing normal musci with the area scripts).

The problem with this is that it's now alway going to be the same combat music...so....I'll either have to do some randomizing, or figure out which 2DA table to tweak so as to setup specific music for specific areas.

I do see a mention of a 2DA related to music in the core or single player (can't recall which - at the office right now). That said - I searched high and low and cannot find 'said' 2DA....

ps - mine is a standalone module...so things might be a little different for me ;-)
